To bulk upload eBay listings from a CSV or Excel file, download the 3Dsellers eBay CSV template, add one row per item, and import it from Listings & Products > Listings > Import > Create Listings with CSV. Every row becomes a 3Dsellers Draft that you can review and edit, then publish to eBay in bulk with Publish to Channel. Nothing goes live on eBay until you publish it.
⚠️ Re-importing the same file does not overwrite your drafts by default. A row whose SKU is already in your 3Dsellers account as an active listing, a draft or a scheduled listing is skipped. To rebuild existing drafts from the file, tick Replace existing drafts before you start the import. Any edits you made to those drafts since the last import will be lost.

Where do I import a CSV of eBay listings?
There are two entry points in 3Dsellers, and both open the same Import New Products panel:
From the Listings page: go to Listings & Products > Listings, click Import at the top right, then choose Create Listings with CSV.
From the CSV Import page: go to Listings & Products > Listings Manager > CSV Import and click Import Products. This page also shows your Import history and Scheduled imports.
The CSV Import page also has an Import with Claude button. It opens Claude with a ready-made request to dry-run your file, check the column mapping and then run the import for you. You need 3Dsellers connected to Claude first: see How to connect AI agents to 3Dsellers using MCP.
How do I import my CSV into 3Dsellers Drafts?
Step 1 - Fill in a template
Download the Excel template (it includes instructions) or one of the CSV-only templates above. Keep one row per listing and one unique SKU per row. You do not need every column: only SKU and WarehouseQuantity are required to create a draft.
Step 2 - Upload the file
In the Import New Products panel, under Choose CSV file, pick how to upload. The file cannot exceed 50 MB or 100,000 rows.
Upload File From Computer - a .csv or .xlsx file on your computer.
Upload File From https Link - paste a public https link to the file and click Get File.
Upload From FTP/SFTP - pull the file from your FTP or SFTP server.
After the upload, 3Dsellers uses AI to match your CSV headers to 3Dsellers fields, based on the headers and the first 3 rows of the file. You can then turn the file into a recurring import with Schedule.
Step 3 - Check the mapping
The mapping table has four columns: the 3Dsellers Products field, the Matching Field From Uploaded CSV (the column the value comes from), a Preview of the value from the row you pick (Row 1, Row 2...) and a Fallback.
Check every row of the mapping, especially SKU and WarehouseQuantity, which are marked required. Fields you do not need can stay on Don't import.
Fallback is a default value. It is used when a CSV row is missing that field, or when every row should get the same value. For example, map
Conditionto Don't import and set the Fallback to1000to make every draft "New".Use the preview to confirm the values look right before you import.
Full mapping guide: Complete Guide to CSV Mapping in 3Dsellers.
Step 4 - Start the import
Click Start Import. Large files, long descriptions and many images take longer to process. Track progress and errors under Import history on the CSV Import page. When it is done, the new drafts are in the 3Dsellers Drafts segment (under Unpublished Drafts) on the Listings page.
If Start Import stays disabled, the panel shows the reason at the bottom. The most common one is "Cannot import new products when WarehouseQuantity is set to "Don't import"": map WarehouseQuantity to a column or give it a Fallback value.
What happens to SKUs that are already in my account?
By default, a 3Dsellers CSV import only creates drafts for new SKUs. A row whose SKU is already in your account as an active listing, a draft or a scheduled listing is skipped and left untouched, so importing the same growing spreadsheet again only brings in the new rows. Ended and deleted items do not count, so their SKUs are imported again as new drafts.
When rows are skipped, the import's details in Import history tell you how many, for example: "N row(s) were skipped because their SKU is already in the account as a listing, a draft or a scheduled listing."
Replace existing drafts changes this. When it is ticked, the import deletes the existing drafts for the file's SKUs and rebuilds them from the file. Use it when the file is your source of truth and you want the drafts to match it exactly.
⚠️ Replace existing drafts discards any edits you made to those drafts in 3Dsellers since the last import. It does not change your live eBay listings: to change live listings, use Update Listings > Update Active Listings instead.
If the SKU in your file is... | Replace existing drafts OFF (default) | Replace existing drafts ON |
New to your account | Draft created | Draft created |
Already a 3Dsellers draft | Row skipped, draft kept as it is | Draft deleted and rebuilt from the file |
An active or scheduled listing | Row skipped | A draft is created from the file (only drafts are deleted, live listings are not edited) |
Only an ended or deleted listing | Draft created | Draft created |
What do the other import options do?
Mapping Presets - save your mapping with Save Mapping Preset and pick it next time, so you do not map the same file twice.
Migration Source - choose Inkfrog Migration when the CSV was exported from Inkfrog. 3Dsellers maps the Inkfrog column names and converts values such as condition text and policy names to the 3Dsellers format. Inkfrog image URLs are re-hosted on 3Dsellers because they expire. Leave it on None (3DSellers format) for the 3Dsellers templates.
Tags - add 3Dsellers tags to every draft the import creates, so you can find this batch later.
Images - opens Image Settings: Auto assign hosted images to matching items SKU's attaches images already in your 3Dsellers Image Hosting with the same SKU to the new drafts, and Optimize images before hosting. See Image hosting, storage and upload limits.
Find Category ID - look up eBay Category IDs and eBay Store Category IDs without leaving the import.
Import Filters - add conditions so only CSV rows that match them are imported (for example, only rows where a "Status" column equals "Ready").
File format requirements
.xlsx (Excel workbook) or .csv. For a CSV, save it as a plain CSV.
Use comma-separated values.
Do not let Excel auto-format numbers (long IDs and UPCs turn into 1.23E+11).
Maximum 50 MB or 100,000 rows per file. Split bigger files.
Required and special eBay CSV fields
SKU (eBay Custom Label)
Every row must have a unique SKU (except Car Compatibility child rows). The SKU is how 3Dsellers recognises the item, decides whether a row is new or already in your account, and matches the draft on later updates.
WarehouseQuantity and UpToQuantity
WarehouseQuantityis your stock in 3Dsellers. It is required for a new-products import (map it, or set a Fallback).UpToQuantityis optional and caps how many units eBay shows at once. For example, show 5 on eBay while you hold 100.
Auction or fixed price
Leave ListingDuration blank for a fixed price (GTC) listing. To create an auction, set ListingDuration to 1, 3, 5, 7 or 10 and fill the auction prices:
ListingDuration | AuctionStartPrice | AuctionReservePrice | AuctionBINPrice |
7 | 1 | 10 | 12 |
Item Specifics
If the template already has a column for the Item Specific (for example MPN, UPC, Brand, Color), just fill it in. For any other Item Specific, add a column and put C: before its name:
C:Brand | C:Type | C:Diameter |
BigBrand | Does not apply | 3.45 Inches |
C:works for any Item Specific. The olderCustomSpecificprefix is deprecated.Columns that start with
C:are imported as they are and do not appear in the mapping table.Importing from other software (for example ChannelAdvisor)? You can also split names and values into column pairs:
Attribute1Name/Attribute1Value,Attribute2Name/Attribute2Value, and so on.
Attribute1Name | Attribute1Value | Attribute2Name | Attribute2Value |
Brand | Unbranded | Color | Blue |
eBay Categories
Enter the eBay Category ID (the template column is CategoryID). Always include it: the category decides which Item Specifics eBay requires. You can also add a second category and eBay Store categories:
CategoryID | Category2 | StoreCategory | StoreCategory2 |
88433 | 14883 | 33103728012 | 33103729012 |
Product Condition
Use eBay Condition IDs in Condition, and an optional note in ConditionNote:
Condition | ConditionNote |
1000 | The item is brand new, unused, unopened, and undamaged |
1500 | Open box, sealed inner packaging. Never used. |
eBay rejects a condition the category does not accept, and condition names vary by category.
eBay may need to approve your account before you can use refurbished conditions in some categories.
Package, weight and item location
If your shipping policy uses calculated shipping, the package size and weight are required:
MeasurementSystem | PackageLength | PackageWidth | PackageDepth | WeightMajor | WeightMinor |
ENGLISH | 20 | 20 | 20 | 4 | 2 |
WeightMajoris pounds or kilograms;WeightMinoris ounces or grams.MeasurementSystemacceptsENGLISHorMETRIC.If eBay rejects a
PackageTypefor the category, tryPackageThickEnvelope(works in most categories and sites) orMailingBoxes(most eBay Australia categories).CountryCodeandLocationare needed to publish on eBay (eBay uses them for delivery estimates). UseGB, notUK, for the United Kingdom.PostalCodeis optional.
CountryCode | Location | PostalCode |
US | Topeka,Kansas | 66601 |
Business Policies (payment, shipping and returns)
3Dsellers sets shipping, return and payment settings through eBay Business Policies only. Add PolicyPayment, PolicyShipping and PolicyReturn columns with the policy ID or its exact name. Find them in Listings & Products > Listings Manager > Business Policies.
PolicyPayment | PolicyShipping | PolicyReturn |
217446963020 | 217862221020 | 30097749020 |
If every listing uses the same policies, you can leave these columns out and choose the policies when you publish the drafts.
A value that is not a policy on your eBay account is reported on that row in the import details. The draft will not publish until you pick a valid policy.
Images
You can import up to 24 images per listing and 24 per variation. Use one column per image, in the order eBay should show them (Image 1 is the main image), or put every URL in one ImageURLs cell separated by commas.
Image 1 | Image 2 | Image 3 |
Variation listings
A variation listing uses one parent row for the main listing details and one child row per variation:
Row | SKU | Parent SKU | Title | C:Size | C:Color | WarehouseQuantity | Price |
Parent | ITM001 |
| A Title |
|
|
|
|
Child | variation_1 | ITM001 |
| M | Red | 2 | 16.99 |
Child | variation_2 | ITM001 |
| L | Blue | 2 | 18.99 |
Every variation has its own unique SKU, and its
Parent SKUis the parent row's SKU. This links the rows. The Item Specifics on the child rows (here Size and Color) become the variation options. Put every other Item Specific on the parent row.
Child rows should only hold: SKU, Parent SKU, price and cost, quantity, and the variation Item Specifics. Everything else goes on the parent row.
In the mapping, under Choose variation format, pick Parent SKU for this layout. Use Variation SKU with the Variation (standard) template.
How do I publish the imported drafts to eBay?
Go to Listings & Products > Listings and open the Unpublished Drafts segment (under 3Dsellers Drafts). Filter by the tag you added during the import to find the batch.
Open any draft to fix or complete it, if needed.
Select the drafts and click Publish to Channel.
Keep the business policies from the drafts or choose the eBay policies to use, set your other preferences, then confirm to publish the drafts to your eBay account.
Fields you need before eBay accepts the listing: a Category, a Condition, CountryCode and Location, business policies, at least one image, a title and a price, and the Item Specifics eBay requires for that category. You can import with fewer fields and fill the rest in the drafts.
How do I update drafts I already imported?
To change drafts that already exist without deleting and rebuilding them, go to Listings Manager > CSV Import > Update Listings and choose Update 3Dsellers Draft Listings. It updates the drafts that match the SKUs in your file, using only the columns you map. Update Active Listings does the same for live eBay listings.
Troubleshooting
I imported my CSV but no drafts appeared
Open the import in Import history and check its status. Done with errors! means some rows failed: click View Details to see why.
Check whether the rows were skipped because their SKUs are already in your account (see What happens to SKUs that are already in my account?). Tick Replace existing drafts to import them anyway.
Look in the Unpublished Drafts segment of the right eBay account: the drafts are created in the eBay account that was selected when you ran the import.
The Start Import button is greyed out
Read the red message at the bottom of the panel. Usually WarehouseQuantity is set to Don't import: map it to your quantity column, or set a Fallback value if all items have the same stock.
eBay rejected my drafts when I published them
Open the Listings with Errors segment to see eBay's message for each listing, or check Listings Manager > Error Log. Each eBay error links to our eBay Error Resolve List. Fix the draft (or the CSV and re-import with Replace existing drafts) and publish again.
FAQ
Does importing a CSV overwrite an existing draft with the same SKU?
No, not by default. A 3Dsellers CSV import skips a row whose SKU is already in your account as an active listing, a draft or a scheduled listing, and keeps the existing draft as it is. Tick Replace existing drafts to delete and rebuild those drafts from the file, or use Update Listings > Update 3Dsellers Draft Listings to update them in place.
What is the minimum a CSV needs to create a 3Dsellers draft?
Only SKU and WarehouseQuantity (as a column or a Fallback) are required to create a draft. To publish the draft on eBay you also need a title, price, category, condition, item location, business policies, at least one image and the category's required Item Specifics. You can add these in the drafts after the import.
Should I use WarehouseQuantity or UpToQuantity?
Use WarehouseQuantity for your real stock in 3Dsellers; it is required. Add UpToQuantity only if you want to cap the quantity eBay shows, for example 5 on eBay while you hold 100.
What is the difference between Cost and Wholesale?
They are the same thing: your own cost price for the item. The current templates call the column Cost; older templates called it Wholesale. If your file still says Wholesale, map that column to the Cost field. Cost stays in 3Dsellers and is never sent to eBay.
My SKU column was not matched automatically. What do I do?
In the mapping table, find the SKU field and pick your SKU column in Matching Field From Uploaded CSV. Always check the SKU mapping before you start the import, because the SKU decides which rows are new and which are skipped.
Can I import my unpublished eBay Seller Hub drafts with this CSV?
Yes, if you can get their details into a spreadsheet: put them in the 3Dsellers template and import it. 3Dsellers does not read the drafts saved in eBay Seller Hub, because they are not live eBay listings. All the ways to bring drafts in are in How do I get eBay drafts into 3Dsellers?.
Can I run the same CSV import automatically every day?
Yes. After you upload the file, click Schedule to import it on a schedule from a link or an FTP/SFTP server. Because existing SKUs are skipped by default, each run only adds the new rows. You can also schedule CSV imports with an AI agent.
