Overview
Product Catalog Inventory Management in 3Dsellers lets you update inventory quantities using two main methods:
Bulk updates directly in the interface
CSV imports for larger updates or external inventory files
The Multichannel Inventory Management system tracks inventory by SKU, helping maintain accurate stock across eBay accounts and other selling channels.
To avoid overselling and keep listings accurate, it’s important to understand both update methods and how Inventory Sync Settings by Channel affect inventory updates.
Accessing Multichannel Inventory Management
Log in to your 3Dsellers account.
In the left sidebar, go to Products Catalog.
Click Inventory Management.
The Multichannel Inventory Management page displays products by SKU, inventory by warehouse, and sync status by selling channel.

Important notes about bulk updates
Warehouse assignment: applies the selected warehouse to all selected products (overwrites previous warehouse assignments)
Quantity overwrite: “Set Quantity to” replaces existing quantities
Variations: updating variations may affect multiple variation rows/listings
Sync behavior: inventory updates sync based on your Inventory Sync Settings by Channel
Method 2: Update Inventory with CSV File
CSV updates are best for large inventory updates (50+ products), inventory counts, or importing inventory from external systems.
Step 1: Prepare your CSV file
Required columns
sku(required)quantity(required)warehouse(optional but recommended for multi-warehouse setups)
Example CSV format
sku,quantity,warehouse PROD-001,50,Karol_Warehouse PROD-002,30,Karol_Warehouse PROD-003,25,Lake_Mary_Florida_Warehouse VAR-001,100,Karol_Warehouse
CSV requirements
Save as .csv with UTF-8 encoding
First row must contain column headers
SKUs must match catalog SKUs exactly
Quantity must be numeric (0 or positive integers)
Warehouse names must match existing warehouses exactly
Step 2: Access CSV import
You can start a CSV inventory update in either location:
Option A: Inventory Management
Click Update Inventory with CSV in the action bar.
Option B: Import/Export Files
Go to Products Catalog > Import/Export Files
Select Update Inventory from the import options.
Step 3: Upload your CSV file
Click Choose File / Browse / Upload.
Select your CSV file.
The system begins processing.
Step 4: Map CSV columns (Inventory CSV mapping)
After upload, you’ll reach the Mapping screen. This step controls how each CSV column updates inventory.
What to do
Confirm SKU is mapped correctly (required).
Map your CSV quantity column to the quantity field.
(Optional) Map warehouse if included in your CSV.
Leave fields as Don’t import if you do not want them updated.
(Optional) Save the mapping using a Mapping Preset to reuse later.
Click Start Import (or Import/Confirm) to run the update.
Step 5: Verify results
After import completes:
Review the summary (how many updated / any errors)
Confirm quantities updated in the inventory table
Verify warehouse assignments
Confirm sync channels reflect updated inventory (if sync is enabled)
Scheduled CSV Imports (Beta)
If you need automated inventory updates:
Go to Products Catalog > Import/Export Files
Open Scheduled (Beta)
Create a schedule to import CSV files from a URL or FTP
Set frequency (e.g., every 3 hours, daily)
Set the action to Update Inventory
Enable or disable the schedule as needed
Inventory Sync Settings by Channel

Best practices for inventory updates
Choosing the right method
Use Bulk Update for:
quick updates to a small set of products (10–50)
setting the same quantity for multiple products
increasing quantities by a fixed amount
assigning products to a warehouse
Use CSV Update for:
large updates (50+ products)
physical inventory counts
external inventory systems
scheduled/automated updates
different quantities per SKU
Before updating
Review channel sync settings
Export inventory data as backup if making major changes
Verify SKUs and warehouse names
Test with a small batch first (5–10 products)
After updating
Verify a sample of products
Monitor sync and confirm listings reflect updates
Save logs/records for reconciliation
Troubleshooting
Bulk update not working
Confirm products are selected
Verify warehouse exists
Validate quantity values
Try a smaller batch
CSV import fails or shows errors
Confirm file is CSV + UTF-8
Check headers:
sku, quantity, warehouseConfirm SKUs match exactly (no spaces, typos, casing issues)
Confirm quantity is numeric and non-negative
Confirm warehouse names match exactly
Inventory not syncing to channels
Ensure “Inventory Updates from Product Changes” is ON for that channel
Verify channel connection is active
Confirm products are linked to listings (if required)
Allow time for sync to complete
Orders not updating inventory
Ensure “Inventory Updates from Received Orders” is ON
Confirm orders are importing into 3Dsellers
Confirm SKUs match catalog SKUs
Warehouse not appearing
Confirm warehouse exists in Products Catalog > Warehouses
Ensure it’s active
Refresh the page
Quantities not updating correctly
Confirm whether you used “Set Quantity to” vs “Increase quantity by”
Double-check CSV values
Check if another process is updating inventory at the same time
Review sync behavior
Important notes and limitations
Bulk updates apply the selected warehouse to all selected products
Very large CSV files may need splitting into smaller batches
Quantities must be non-negative integers
CSV warehouse names must match existing warehouses exactly
Some sync functions require products linked to listings
Orders affect inventory only if orders are imported and order-sync is enabled
