🧠 Import Popup: Advanced Settings Explained

When importing from the Listing Tool or Catalog, you’ll see the Import Settings popup.

1. Choose the Selling Channel

Select which connected channel to import from
(e.g. eBay US, eBay UK, Amazon).

This controls where listings are pulled from.

2. 🔗 Match & Merge Imported Products

Controls how duplicates are detected and merged.

Default matching

  • 3Dsellers field: SKU

  • Channel field: SKU

Listings with the same SKU merge into one Catalog product.

➕ Add Another Field (Optional)

Strengthen matching using an additional identifier:

  • SKU

  • Title

  • UPC

  • EAN

  • ASIN

  • MPN

  • ISBN

Examples:

  • SKU + UPC → safest matching

  • SKU + Title → when SKUs vary slightly

  • EAN → common for EU catalogs

3. Import Behavior Options

These options control how data is handled during import.

Override existing product with newly imported data

  • Imported data replaces existing Catalog values

Use when:

  • Channel listings are the source of truth

Don’t create new products

Add tags to imported products

  • Automatically tags imported items for organization

Examples:

  • Imported from eBay

  • UK Channel

  • Clearance

Match SKU by pattern

Helps match SKUs with prefixes or suffixes.

Example:

  • Channel SKU: UK-12345

  • Catalog SKU: 12345

🔄 After Import: What Happens Next

After import completes:

  • Listings become Catalog products

  • Images, descriptions, price, and inventory are pulled in

  • Matching logic merges duplicates listings with the same identifier

  • New products are created unless blocked by settings

🔁 Want Catalog Changes to Update Live Listings?

Imports affect the Catalog only.

To push updates back to the channel:

  1. Go to Products Catalog → Products

  2. Select items

  3. Click Bulk Actions → Bulk Revise Listings

✅ Best Practices

  • Enable Catalog before importing

  • Use SKU + UPC/EAN when possible

  • Use Override carefully

  • Add tags like Imported from Channel

  • Import a small batch first to validate behavior
