The 3Dsellers Not in Catalog tab in Listings lists every live and scheduled eBay listing that does not belong to a product in your Product Catalog yet. To check one tab, such as Active, add the Catalog Product filter set to is not in catalog. Then tick the listings and choose Bulk Actions → Import Products to Catalog, or click Import to Catalog in a single listing's row.
⚠️ Before you click Import, check the choice under IF PRODUCT ALREADY EXISTS IN CATALOG. Merge is the default and only fills missing fields. Override replaces existing catalog data with the data from your eBay listings.
💡 Open Listings → Not in Catalog to see the listings that are not in your 3Dsellers Product Catalog.

What does "Not in Catalog" mean in 3Dsellers?
An eBay listing is in the catalog when it belongs to a product in your 3Dsellers Product Catalog. A listing is not in the catalog when no catalog product owns it yet, for example a listing that was never imported. The Not in Catalog tab and the Catalog Product filter exist to help you find those listings so you can import them.
⭐ "Not in Catalog" is not the same as linked or unlinked. Linked and unlinked describe listings that already belong to a catalog product, and those never appear on the Not in Catalog tab.
Where do I find the Not in Catalog tab?
The 3Dsellers Not in Catalog tab sits in the Listings Segments list on the Listings page, together with All, Active, Scheduled and the other built-in tabs.
In 3Dsellers, open Listings and choose your eBay account in the account picker at the top of the left menu.
In the Listings Segments list, find Not in Catalog, directly below Listings with Errors. It is not hidden under Show more.
Read the number next to the tab: it is how many listings are not in the catalog. Click the tab to open them.
The Not in Catalog tab appears only when the Product Catalog is on for the selected eBay account. With all accounts selected, it appears if at least one account has the catalog on.
Which listings does the Not in Catalog tab show?
The 3Dsellers Not in Catalog tab shows live and scheduled eBay listings that do not belong to a catalog product.
Drafts and ended listings are not included, even when they are not in the catalog.
The tab adds a Status column. A live listing shows a Live badge with a link icon, and a scheduled listing shows Scheduled.
In the screenshot below, a Catalog Product chip is still showing above the grid because it was added on the Active tab first. The Not in Catalog tab does not need that filter.
How do I filter any Listings tab for listings that are not in the catalog?
The 3Dsellers Catalog Product filter finds listings that are not in the catalog on the tab you are using, for example only your Active listings, and works alongside your other filters.
Open the Listings tab you want to check, for example Active.
Click Filter (1) above the grid and type catalog in the search box.
Click Catalog Product (2). It is in the Item Info group.
Leave is not in catalog selected, or choose is in catalog to see the opposite.
Click Add.
A chip that reads Catalog Product is not in... appears above the grid, and Items Total drops to the listings that match. In this example the Active tab went from 16 listings to 13.
To keep this view as your own tab, click Create New Segment next to + Add Filter. See How to Find Listings Fast: Search, Filters & Tags in the Listings Grid for saving filters.
How do I import listings from the Not in Catalog tab?
Use the 3Dsellers bulk action Import Products to Catalog to import many listings that are not in the catalog at once.
Open the Not in Catalog tab, or any tab filtered by Catalog Product is not in catalog.
Tick the box next to each listing you want to import. The footer shows Total Selected Listings. After you tick a listing, the grid header also offers a select-all link with the tab's total, for example Select all 18 items.
Click Bulk Actions (1). Bulk Actions stays greyed out until at least one listing is ticked.
In the Manage group, click Import Products to Catalog (2).
The Import products to catalog dialog opens. Choose your options as described in Which import options should I choose? and click Import.
⭐ Import Products to Catalog is not available on the All tab. Start from Not in Catalog, Active or a filtered tab instead.
How do I import a single listing from its row?
Each live listing that is not in the catalog has its own Import to Catalog button in the 3Dsellers Listings grid.
Open the Not in Catalog or Active tab.
Scroll the grid sideways to the Mapping Template column.
Click Import to Catalog in the listing's row. 3Dsellers selects that listing and opens the same Import products to catalog dialog as the bulk action.
A listing that is already in the catalog shows a mapping template selector in that cell instead of the button.
A scheduled listing shows an empty cell instead of the button.
The Mapping Template column only appears when the Product Catalog is on for the account, and not on the Ended tab.
Which import options should I choose?
The 3Dsellers Import products to catalog dialog is the same from Bulk Actions and from the Import to Catalog button. It imports the sku, images, titles, descriptions, pricing, custom attributes, categories, tags and inventory of each selected listing.
Under IF PRODUCT ALREADY EXISTS IN CATALOG, choose what happens when a listing matches a product that is already in your catalog. Products are matched by SKU unless you change the advanced matching rules.
Option | What the dialog says | Use it when |
Import new products only | Skip anything already in the catalog. | You only want new products and existing catalog data must stay untouched |
Merge (DEFAULT) | Fill missing fields only. Existing data is never changed. | You want to top up incomplete catalog products without losing your edits |
Override | Replace existing catalog data with the imported data. | Your eBay listings hold the data you want to keep |
The lower half of the dialog has these settings. All of them start unticked.
Import only products with available quantity: tick it to leave out listings that have no quantity available.
Set inventory location to: tick it and pick the warehouse that the imported stock goes to. If your account has only one warehouse, this option is not shown.
Add tags: tick it and pick tags in Select tags to label every imported product.
Click Advanced matching rules to change how 3Dsellers decides that a listing and a catalog product are the same item.
Match products by pairs a 3Dsellers field with a field of your eBay account. Both start as SKU.
Add Another field adds a second identifier. You can match on SKU, Title, UPC, EAN, ASIN, MPN or ISBN.
A summary line repeats your rule, for example Products will be matched where SKU equals SKU.
Match SKU by pattern helps when your eBay SKUs carry a prefix or suffix that the catalog SKU does not.
When the options are right, click Import. Click Cancel to close the dialog without importing. For more on matching, see How 3Dsellers Matches and Merges Products During Import.
What happens after I click Import?
3Dsellers shows the message Your items are being imported to product catalog...
Once a listing belongs to a catalog product, it no longer counts as not in the catalog. Reload the Not in Catalog tab to check which listings are left.
Which should I use: the tab, the filter or the row button?
3Dsellers tool | Best for | Where to find it |
Not in Catalog tab | Seeing every live and scheduled listing that is missing from the catalog, with a count | Listings Segments list |
Catalog Product filter | Checking one tab, combining with other filters, or listing what is in catalog | Filter button above the grid, group Item Info |
Import to Catalog button | Importing one live listing | Mapping Template column of the row |
Import Products to Catalog | Importing many listings at once | Bulk Actions → Manage |
Troubleshooting
I don't see the Not in Catalog tab
The 3Dsellers Not in Catalog tab appears only when the Product Catalog is on for the eBay account selected in the account picker. Pick an account that uses the catalog, or turn the catalog on as described in How to Import Listings into the Catalog.
Import Products to Catalog is greyed out
You are on the All tab. 3Dsellers does not offer this bulk action there; switch to Not in Catalog or Active.
The catalog is off for the account. The item then says This action is not available because the product catalog is disabled.
If the whole Bulk Actions button is grey, tick at least one listing first.
There is no Import to Catalog button in the row
The listing is already in the catalog, so it shows a mapping template selector, or it is scheduled, so the cell is empty. If you cannot see the Mapping Template column at all, scroll the 3Dsellers Listings grid sideways.
A tab shows fewer listings than its count
A filter is still applied. Filters you add in the 3Dsellers Listings grid can stay in place when you switch tabs. Check the chips above the grid, such as Catalog Product is not in..., and remove the ones you do not need.
My catalog product changed after I imported a listing
If you chose Override, 3Dsellers replaces existing catalog data with the imported data. Check the choice under IF PRODUCT ALREADY EXISTS IN CATALOG before every import. Merge, the default, only fills missing fields.
A listing is still on Not in Catalog after I imported it
Reload the 3Dsellers Not in Catalog tab after your import. If the box Import only products with available quantity was ticked, that option is meant to import only listings with quantity available. To understand how listings are matched during import, see How 3Dsellers Matches and Merges Products During Import.
FAQ
Does the Not in Catalog tab include drafts or ended listings?
No - the 3Dsellers Not in Catalog tab lists only live and scheduled eBay listings. Drafts and ended listings are left out, even when they are not in the catalog.
Will importing a listing overwrite my existing catalog product?
Not with the default option. Merge only fills missing fields and never changes existing data. Override replaces existing catalog data with the imported data, so check the choice under IF PRODUCT ALREADY EXISTS IN CATALOG before you click Import.
Is "Not in Catalog" the same as an unlinked listing?
No - a listing is not in the catalog when no catalog product owns it. Linked and unlinked describe listings that already belong to a catalog product, and those listings do not appear on the Not in Catalog tab.
Can I import listings to the catalog from the All tab?
No - the Import Products to Catalog bulk action is not available on the All tab in 3Dsellers. Use the Not in Catalog tab, the Active tab or a tab filtered by Catalog Product.
Can I save the "is not in catalog" filter as my own tab?
Yes - after you add the Catalog Product filter, click Create New Segment to save the view as a custom segment in the Listings Segments list.
Is the Catalog Product filter also available in Listings Automations?
The Catalog Product property is also offered in the filter builder of Listings Automations in 3Dsellers. Use the Listings grid steps above as the reference for what the filter finds.
