Auto Messages allows you to send codes and keys to your buyers when they purchase your digital goods on eBay.
With the 3Dsellers Digital Goods feature, you can:
send the same code for every order, or
send individual codes from a database (codes are auto-deleted after sending).
In this article:
Step 1 - Create a Digital Goods code
Step 2 - Create a new message
Step 3 - Set mark as shipped
Step 1 - Create a Digital Goods code
Visit your Digital Goods tab in Auto Messages.
Click Add New Codes
In the pop-up,
A) Name your Digital Good for easy organization.
B) Name your Dynamic Field, aka "placeholder."
The dynamic field name will be used to insert the code in your message.
Choose whether to send the same code for all orders or use a database.
A) To send the same key to all buyers, select Repeat Sending Same Key.
This option is commonly used for sending download links & keys with unlimited redemptions.
B) To send unique codes to each buyer, select Use Key Database.
Then, enter an unlimited number of codes on separate lines.
When creating a database, click Add digital code to set your codes:
After saving, your code database will appear in your eBay digital goods list:
Step 2 - Create a new message:
In Auto Messages' Messages tab, create a new message:
Under General Settings,
set the message to send immediately after item sold.
In the Message Service section,
choose: Send message using eBay messaging system.
This ensures reliable and fast delivery.
In Sending Rules,
set a rule to match the Item ID (or SKU) of the Digital Goods listing.
This sets the message to send only for the correct digital goods item.
In the Message Content section,
select your digital goods dynamic field to insert it into your message.
Find this under Dynamic Fields > Digital goods available
After saving and enabling your message, your message will deliver your codes when a matching item sells.
If a buyer purchases multiple codes at the same time, your dynamic field will be replaced with the number of codes they purchased.
Step 3 - Set Digital Goods to be marked as shipped
In the Digital Goods Preferences tab,
Enable 'mark item as shipped after sending code' option.
This automatically marks your item as shipped after delivering a Digital Good.
