eBay Motors: Save and Reuse Vehicle Compatibility Presets

Build a vehicle compatibility list once in the 3Dsellers listing editor, save it as a reusable Compatibility Preset, and load or bulk-apply it to other eBay Motors listings and products.

If you sell the same part for the same group of vehicles again and again, you do not need to rebuild the fitment list every time. Build the vehicle compatibility list once, save it as a preset, and load it into any other eBay Motors listing or product in seconds.

In this article:

  • Open a listing and choose a Motors category

  • Open Vehicles Compatibility

  • Build your compatibility list (manually, with AI, or by copying)

  • Save the list as a new preset

  • Manage and reuse your saved presets

  • Good to know

1. Open a listing and choose an eBay Motors category

Go to Listings & Products and pick the eBay Motors account you are working with. Then:

  • Click Create Listing and choose Create Listing Manually (you can also open any existing listing to edit it).

  • Select a category that supports vehicle fitment, for example eBay Motors > Parts & Accessories > Car & Truck Parts & Accessories.

Compatibility is only offered in categories where eBay supports parts compatibility. If you do not see the option, the selected category does not support it.

2. Open Vehicles Compatibility

  • In the listing editor, open the Item Specs tab.

  • On the right side, under Compatibility List, click Vehicles Compatibility.

The eBay Vehicle Compatibility window opens, showing the Make / Model / Year / Trim / Engine selectors at the top and your current compatibility list underneath.

3. Build your compatibility list

There are three ways to fill the list, and you can combine them:

  • Manually: select the makes, models, years, trims, and engines you need, then click + Add Compatibility. The counter next to the button shows how many vehicle combinations are currently selected.

  • Auto-generate with AI: let 3Dsellers suggest the fitment rows for your part. Review the suggestions before saving, since they are a suggestion and not a guarantee of fitment.

  • Copy Vehicles List: pull the compatibility list from another eBay listing, including a competitor's item, by its eBay item ID.

You can search inside the list, remove single vehicles, use Remove All to start over, or Revert to undo your changes since opening the window.

4. Save the list as a new preset

  • With the list ready, click Save as New preset at the bottom of the window.

  • Give the preset a clear name, for example the vehicle group it covers (Acura sedans 2017-2019).

  • Click Save Changes to keep the compatibility list on the listing itself, then finish the listing with List Item, Schedule Listing, or Save As Draft.

Tip: you can also click Download CSV to keep a copy of the list outside of 3Dsellers.

5. Manage and reuse your saved presets

All saved presets live on the Compatibility Presets page: app.3dsellers.com/listing-tool/compatibility-presets (Listings & Products > Listings Manager > Compatibility Presets).

  • The page shows each preset's name and when it was last updated, and lets you Rename or Delete it.

  • To reuse a preset, open Vehicles Compatibility on any listing or product and pick it from Load list from preset. The dropdown is searchable, so you can type part of the name.

Good to know

  • Loading a preset replaces the compatibility list currently in the editor. It does not merge with it, so load the preset first and then add any extra vehicles.

  • Presets are saved at the account level and can be reused across your listings and products, not just the listing where they were created.

  • Compatibility presets are an eBay Motors feature and are used for eBay parts compatibility only.

  • To apply the same fitment list to many existing listings at once, select the listings and use the Bulk Actions > Set/Update Compatibility option, then choose the preset.
