The Edit Titles & Descriptions bulk action in 3Dsellers changes the title or the description of every listing you select in one step. You choose one field, choose whether your text goes at the start, goes at the end or replaces the whole field, and can add dynamic fields such as the item's own title, price or SKU. On live eBay listings the change is published straight to eBay. On 3Dsellers Drafts it changes only the drafts, so you can try an edit before it touches anything live.
⚠️ On live listings there is no preview and no undo: the dialog warns Changes will be published directly to the marketplace. Back up the listings first, and try the edit on 3Dsellers Drafts - see Back up before a big edit.

The Edit Titles & Descriptions bulk action does not do this:
It does not show a preview of the new titles before it runs, and it has no undo.
It does not find and change a word in the middle of a title. For that, use Find & Replace, the next action in the same Content group - see Find and Replace: Bulk Update Listing Content in Listing Manager.

Where do I find Edit Titles & Descriptions?
Go to Listings & Products and pick a segment under Listings Segments: Active for live listings, or 3Dsellers Drafts for drafts.
Tick the listings you want to change. The bar at the bottom counts them (Total Selected Listings).
Click Bulk Actions. The menu groups the actions into Manage, Content, SEO, Pricing & Policies, Inventory & Shipping and Images & Video.
Click Content, then Edit Titles & Descriptions at the top of the list. The Search bulk actions... box at the top of the menu also finds it.
What the Edit title & description dialog asks for
The dialog is called Edit title & description. Its first line tells you how many listings the change will apply to, for example The chosen action will be applied to 1 selected item. On live listings the same line adds Changes will be published directly to the marketplace.
What to update: Title or Description. Title is selected when the dialog opens.
Where to apply: Add to start (the default), Add to end or Set to.
The text box: type your text here. For a title it is a single line that reads Type something.... For a description it is a rich-text editor with File, Edit, View, Insert, Format, Tools and Table menus, so you can add formatted text, a list or a table.
DYNAMIC FIELDS: click one to insert it at the cursor - Item Title, Item Subtitle, Item Condition, Item Price, Item SKU and Package weight.
Click Apply, or Cancel to close without changing anything.
A second box, Are you sure?, says This action cannot be undone and asks you to Type YES to approve. Type YES in capitals and click Apply again to run the bulk action.
Add to start, Add to end or Set to: which should I use?

⚠️ Do not combine Add to start or Add to end with the Item Title field when you are editing titles. Your text is added to the title that is already there, and {item_title} is that same title, so with Free shipping - {item_title} and Add to start the title appears twice. Use Item Title only with Set to.
How do dynamic fields work?
A dynamic field is a placeholder in curly brackets. Clicking a field in the dialog inserts it at the cursor, with a space in front of it. When the bulk action runs, 3Dsellers replaces each placeholder with that listing's own value, one listing at a time, so 50 listings get 50 different results.

Insert every field by clicking it in the list rather than typing it.
Because a clicked field arrives with a space in front of it, delete that space when the field is the very first thing in your text, or the title will start with a space.
A placeholder 3Dsellers does not recognize is left in the text exactly as written, so a typo such as
{item_tittle}ends up on eBay as written.Try a field you have not used before on one draft first, and read the result, before you run it on many live listings.
Live listings or 3Dsellers Drafts: what changes?
The Edit Titles & Descriptions bulk action is available on live listings and on 3Dsellers Drafts, with the same options and the same Type YES to approve step. The difference is when the change reaches eBay. On a draft the new title shows in the 3Dsellers Drafts list once the bulk action has finished.

A safe routine for a big change to live listings: copy a few of them to drafts with Bulk Actions → Manage → Copy to 3Dsellers Drafts (see How to copy listings to Drafts), run the edit on the copies, read the results, then run the same edit on the live listings.
⚠️ Do not publish drafts you copied from live listings to test an edit. They are copies of listings that are already on eBay, so publishing them lists the same items a second time. Delete them from drafts when you are done (Bulk Actions → Manage → Delete From Drafts).
Drafts that are genuinely new listings are different: edit them with this bulk action, then publish them as usual with Bulk Actions → Manage → Publish to Channel or Schedule Listing.
Back up before a big edit
The Edit Titles & Descriptions bulk action has no undo, so before a large edit to live listings keep a copy of the current titles or descriptions. The method described in Find and Replace: Bulk Update Listing Content in Listing Manager works here too:
In Report Center, create a Custom Report with the report type Listings - from eBay, and include the field you are about to change (title or description).
Run the bulk action.
If you need to go back, upload that report with the Update eBay Listings CSV feature to restore the previous values.

💡 eBay allows up to 80 characters in a title, and the Listings grid shows each title's count, for example 72 / 80. Before adding a prefix or suffix to titles, check that your longest titles still have room for it.
What the bulk action will not do
The Edit Titles & Descriptions bulk action will not change the title and the description in the same run. Run it twice.
It will not show the new titles before they are applied on live listings, and it cannot undo a change.
It will not edit only part of a title or description. Use Find & Replace for that.
Troubleshooting
I can't find Edit Titles & Descriptions in Bulk Actions
The Bulk Actions menu opens on the Manage group. Edit Titles & Descriptions is in the Content group, first in the list, or use the Search bulk actions... box.
Every title now shows its title twice
The edit used Add to start or Add to end with the Item Title field, so the title was added to itself. Because the repeated part is different on every listing, another bulk edit cannot remove it. Restore the titles from the backup you made before the edit (Back up before a big edit). For descriptions there is one more way back: 3Dsellers keeps a copy of each eBay description from the first time it saw it, and 3Dsellers support can restore that original.
My listings show {item_...} text instead of a value
3Dsellers did not recognize the placeholder, so it left it as text - usually because it was typed by hand. Insert fields from the DYNAMIC FIELDS list, try the edit on one draft, and remove the leftover text from live listings with Find & Replace.
Some listings did not change
Open the result of the bulk action in your 3Dsellers notifications, where each listing that failed has its own error. On live listings, eBay refuses a revision that breaks its rules, for example a title that an added prefix or suffix pushed past 80 characters.
FAQ
Can I preview bulk title changes before they go live on eBay?
Not inside the dialog - on live listings the Edit Titles & Descriptions bulk action publishes straight to eBay. To check first, copy a few listings to 3Dsellers Drafts, run the edit on the copies, read them, then run the same edit on the live listings. Do not publish the copies: they would list the same items twice.
Can I change the title and the description in one go?
No - the Edit Titles & Descriptions bulk action changes one field per run. Choose Title, apply, then run it again with Description.
Can I undo a bulk title edit?
No - the Edit Titles & Descriptions bulk action has no undo. Back up the titles or descriptions with a Report Center custom report before the edit, and restore them with the Update eBay Listings CSV feature if you need to.
How do I change one word inside many titles?
Use Find & Replace, not Edit Titles & Descriptions. Edit Titles & Descriptions only adds text at the start or end, or replaces the whole field.
