Use Case: Auto-Create a Shopify Order When You Receive an Order on eBay, Amazon, or Any Channel

Automatically create a paid Shopify order whenever a new order comes in on eBay, Amazon, Etsy, TikTok, or WooCommerce — using 3Dsellers Order Automations.

Written by Karolina Santiago

If you use Shopify to manage fulfillment, inventory, or reporting, you can use 3Dsellers Order Automations to automatically push orders from any sales channel — eBay, Amazon, Etsy, TikTok, WooCommerce, and more — directly into Shopify as paid orders.

No manual copying. No missed orders. Every matching order lands in Shopify automatically.

How it works

When a new order is received on your chosen channel and matches your trigger conditions, 3Dsellers creates a paid Shopify order in your selected Shopify store. Line items are matched by SKU — any unmatched items are added as custom line items so nothing is lost.

Setting it up

Step 1 – Go to Order Automations

Step 2 – Name your automation

  • Give it a clear name, e.g. "eBay → Shopify Orders" or "Amazon → Shopify"

  • Optionally add a note for your own reference

Step 3 – Select the Channel

Choose which sales channel should trigger the automation. Supported channels include:

  • All Channels — triggers for orders from any connected channel

  • eBay

  • Amazon

  • Etsy

  • Shopify

  • WooCommerce

  • TikTok

Step 4 – Set the Trigger

Choose what event fires the automation:

  • Order Received & Paid — fires when a paid order comes in

  • Order Received & UnPaid — fires as soon as the order is received, even before payment

  • Order Canceled — fires when an order is canceled

💡 Tip: For most fulfillment workflows, use Order Received & Paid so Shopify only receives orders that are confirmed and ready to ship.

Step 5 – Add Filters (optional)

Use the Filter option to narrow which orders trigger the automation — for example, only orders containing a specific SKU, from a specific country, or above a certain value. Leave filters empty to apply the automation to all orders from the selected channel.

Step 6 – Set the Action

  • Set Action to Create Shopify Order

  • Select your Shopify store from the dropdown

Each matching order will create a paid Shopify order. Line items are matched by SKU — unmatched items are added as custom line items.

Step 7 – Select your Shopify store

After setting the Action to Create Shopify Order, a Shopify store dropdown will appear below. Select the Shopify store you want the orders to be created in.

Step 8 – Save and Activate

  • Click Save & Activate to enable the automation immediately

  • Or click Save to save it as inactive and activate it later

Example use cases

  • Centralized fulfillment: You fulfill all orders through Shopify regardless of where the sale happened — push eBay and Amazon orders into Shopify automatically so your 3PL or warehouse sees everything in one place.

  • Inventory sync: Shopify deducts stock when the order is created, keeping your inventory accurate across channels.

  • Reporting: Consolidate multi-channel sales data inside Shopify for unified revenue reporting.
