đ Overview
The Listing Tool search helps you instantly find specific listings without scrolling. You can choose from five search types depending on whether you want broad results, an exact match, a prefix/suffix match, or to search many SKUs at once.
â
Search works inside any listing segment (Active, Drafts, Scheduled, Ended, etc.) and can be combined with filters for more precise results.
đ§ Where to Find Listing Search
Go to Listings & Products â Listings
At the top-right of the table, youâll see:
A search field (ex: Title, SKU, Item ID)
A Search Type dropdown
𧩠Search Types (What Each One Does)
đ 1) Contains (default)
Searches for any text that contains the keyword or phrase you enter.
Use this when:
You only know part of the title/SKU
You want broader results
Example:
Search:
nike
Matches: âNike Air Maxâ, âBlue Nike Shirtâ, âAuthentic Nike Productâ
đŻ 2) Exact Match
Searches for the exact keyword or phrase you entered.
Use this when:
You know the exact SKU or exact text
You want one specific result and no partial matches
Example:
Search:
PROD-001
Matches: âPROD-001â
Does not match: âPROD-001-BLUEâ
𧷠3) Begins With
Searches for any text that starts with the keyword or phrase you entered.
Use this when:
Your SKUs use prefixes (ex:
PROD-,ITEM-)You want everything in the same series
Example:
Search:
PROD-
Matches: âPROD-001â, âPROD-002â, âPROD-100â
đ§Č 4) Ends With
Searches for any text that ends with the keyword or phrase you entered.
Use this when:
Your SKUs end with a suffix like a color/size/code (ex:
-BLUE,-XL)You want all listings that end with the same tag
Example:
Search:
-BLUE
Matches: âPROD-001-BLUEâ, âITEM-12-BLUEâ
Does not match: âPROD-001-BLUE-XLâ
đ§Ÿ 5) In List (bulk search)
Search through multiple queries by separating them with commas (,). It returns listings that match ANY of the values you entered.
Use this when:
You have a list of SKUs/Item IDs from a spreadsheet
You want to find multiple listings at once before running a bulk action
How to format:
SKU1, SKU2, SKU3
(Spaces after commas are optional.)
Example:
Search:
PROD-001, PROD-005, PROD-010
đȘ How to Search Listings
Select a Search Type (top-right dropdown)
Enter your search term (or comma-separated list for In List)
Press Enter
The table updates to show matching listings only
To clear the search:
Delete the text in the search bar and press Enter
𧰠Combine Search with Filters
For tighter results:
Search first (example: Contains = âNikeâ)
Click + Add Filter to narrow down further (status, price, category, etc.)
This helps when you have large catalogs and want faster, more targeted results.
â Best Practices
Use Contains when youâre not sure of the exact text
Use Exact Match when searching for a specific SKU
Use Begins With to find SKU groups by prefix
Use Ends With to find SKU groups by suffix (like -BLUE, -XL)
Use In List for bulk lookups from spreadsheets (comma-separated)
