What does the Sync Listings button do?

The Reimport Listings (Sync Listings) option allows you to manually sync your eBay listings with 3Dsellers to make sure your data is up to date. This is useful if changes were made directly on eBay or if you want to refresh listing information inside 3Dsellers.

3Dsellers automatically syncs listings in the background, but manual syncing gives you more control when needed.

Where to find the Reimport Listings option

  1. Go to Listings Manager.

  2. Select one or more listings (or none, to sync all).

  3. Click Reimport Listings (top-right of the screen).

This opens the sync dialog with two available sync options.

Quick Sync (regular sync)

Quick Sync is the standard and most commonly used sync option.

What Quick Sync does:

  • Updates inventory quantity

  • Updates price

  • Updates SKU

  • Imports new listings created on eBay

  • Keeps your live listing data up to date

Important details:

  • Runs automatically every 10 minutes

  • Can be triggered manually at any time

  • This is the sync most users rely on daily

  • Does not overwrite listing content such as descriptions or categories

📌 Recommended for: everyday syncing and keeping active listings accurate.

Full Sync (optional deep refresh)

Full Sync is an optional, more comprehensive refresh of listing data.

What Full Sync does:

  • Reimports all listing data, including:

    • Title and description

    • Categories

    • Item specifics

    • Policies

    • Custom attributes

  • Refreshes data used in table columns and advanced views

Important details:

  • Available once per month

  • Takes longer than Quick Sync

  • Not required for regular daily use

📌 Recommended for:

  • Fixing outdated or missing listing data

  • Updating table columns that rely on extended listing information

  • Resolving display or data inconsistencies

When should I manually reimport listings?

You may want to use Reimport Listings if:

  • Changes were made directly on eBay

  • New listings don’t appear yet in 3Dsellers

  • Inventory, price, or SKU seem out of sync

  • You added new columns that require additional listing data

  • Support advised you to run a Full Sync

Best practices

  • Use Quick Sync for routine syncing (most users).

  • Use Full Sync only when needed.

  • Avoid making changes directly on eBay whenever possible.

  • For best accuracy, manage listings primarily from 3Dsellers.

Automation is already Synced

Automated tools (like inventory management) work with live eBay data.

These features do not require syncing listings:

  • Bundles/ Multichannel Inventory Sync

  • Offers

  • Listing Designer Automation

  • Placeholders/dynamic fields

Last Sync Timestamp

  • The last sync's timestamp is shown next to each Reimport Listings button.

  • After 24 hours, the timestamp will display as red text.

Why are the listings not live data?

Your 3Dsellers account uses a database of your eBay item information.

Helpful Uses for a Database:

  • Faster load times - Quickly retrieve item information without waiting on eBay's API.

  • Your database is a static backup of much of your listing data.
