What does the Sync Listings (Reimport Listings) button do?

Update listings and orders across 3Dsellers with current eBay data. Learn more about these features.

Written by Tony Adams

When you connect your eBay account to 3DSellers, your listings are initially imported into the platform. After that, you can use the Sync Listings / Reimport Listings feature to manually refresh your listing data from eBay.

Important: Syncing Is Manual

3DSellers does not automatically sync listing changes from eBay in real time.

If you make changes directly on eBay, those changes will only appear inside 3DSellers after you manually run a sync.

Because of this, we strongly recommend using 3DSellers as your main working platform (“source of truth”) and avoiding making listing changes directly on eBay whenever possible.

Where to find the Reimport Listings option

  1. Go to Listings Manager.

  2. Select one or more listings (or none, to sync all).

  3. Click Reimport Listings (top-right of the screen).

This opens the sync dialog with two available sync options.

Quick Sync

Quick Sync is the standard sync most users use daily.

What Quick Sync updates:

  • Inventory / quantity

  • Price

  • SKU

  • Newly created listings on eBay

Examples:

  • If you create a new listing directly on eBay, you must run a Quick Sync for that listing to appear inside 3DSellers.

  • If you change the SKU, inventory, or price directly on eBay, you must run a Quick Sync for those updates to appear in 3DSellers.

Important:

  • Quick Sync does not run automatically.

  • You must manually click the sync button.

  • After running it, the option becomes available again after 10 minutes.

Full Sync (Deep Reimport)

Full Sync performs a much deeper refresh of your listing data from eBay.

What Full Sync updates:

  • Title

  • Description

  • Images

  • Policies

  • Categories

  • Item specifics / custom attributes

  • Additional listing details

Examples:

If you update any of the following directly on eBay:

  • listing title

  • description

  • photos/images

  • categories

  • policies

then you will need to run a Full Sync for those changes to appear inside 3DSellers.

Important limitations:

  • Full Sync is only available once per month

  • Full Sync may take longer depending on the number of listings in your account

  • Most users do not need to run this frequently

Synchronizing Product Catalog Changes to Listings

To apply changes made in your 3Dsellers Product Catalog to your listings, you can use the sync action for the specific product or listing. This action ensures that any updates (e.g., title, description, or pricing changes) you made in the catalog are accurately reflected in the corresponding 3Dsellers eBay listings.

Steps to Sync Product Catalog Changes

  1. Navigate to the Listings' tool section

  2. Select the available Re-import listings from eBay (like previously explained above)

  3. Confirm that the changes are now reflected in the 3Dsellers eBay listing.

By following these steps, you can quickly ensure your catalog changes are live and consistent across all platforms.

When should I manually reimport listings?

You may want to use Reimport Listings if:

  • Changes were made directly on eBay or in the Catalog - not on Listing tool

  • New listings don’t appear yet in 3Dsellers

  • Inventory, price, or SKU seem out of sync

  • You added new columns that require additional listing data

  • Support advised you to run a Full Sync

Best Practice Recommendation

To maintain the most accurate and consistent data between eBay and 3DSellers, we strongly recommend:

✅ Managing and editing your listings directly inside 3DSellers
✅ Using eBay mainly as the marketplace where listings are published
❌ Avoiding frequent listing edits directly on eBay

Using 3DSellers as your primary listing management platform helps prevent:

  • outdated listing data

  • missing image/title updates

  • sync confusion

  • inconsistent listing information between platforms

Automation is already Synced

Automated tools (like inventory management) work with live eBay data.

These features do not require syncing listings:

  • Bundles/ Multichannel Inventory Sync

  • Offers

  • Listing Designer Automation

  • Placeholders/dynamic fields

Last Sync Timestamp

  • The last sync's timestamp is shown next to each Reimport Listings button.

  • After 24 hours, the timestamp will display as red text.

Why are the listings not live data?

Your 3Dsellers account uses a database of your eBay item information.

Helpful Uses for a Database:

  • Faster load times - Quickly retrieve item information without waiting on eBay's API.

  • Your database is a static backup of much of your listing data.
