The Generate SKUs bulk action lets you automatically generate SKU codes for multiple listings at once using a custom formula — based on product attributes, free text, separators, and random characters.
Go to Listings Manager, select the listings you want to update, then click Bulk Actions → Generate SKUs.
How it works
The SKU Generator opens and lets you build a formula:
SKU Code Template — load a previously saved formula template
SKU Code Formula — combine components (product attributes, free text, random characters) with separators. The counter shows the current character count (max 20)
Variation SKU Code Formula (optional) — set a separate formula for child SKUs on variation listings. If left empty, the main formula is used for child SKUs too
Additional Options — choose the output case: All lowercase, All capital, or Normal text
Preview — search for a listing to see what its new SKU will look like before generating
Click Save as Template to reuse this formula in the future
Click Generate to apply the new SKUs to all selected listings
