Written by Karolina Santiago

Overview

The Set Warehouse Inventory bulk action lets you update the stock quantity for a specific warehouse across all selected products at once — without opening each product individually.

When to Use This

  • You've received a new stock delivery and need to update quantities for a batch of products

  • You want to set all products in a category to a standard opening stock level

  • You need to increase or decrease quantities by a fixed amount after a stock count

  • You want to zero out inventory for products being discontinued

How to Use It

  1. Go to Products Catalog and select the products you want to update

  2. Click Bulk Actions → Set Warehouse Inventory

  3. Choose the warehouse to update from the dropdown

  4. Choose your update method and enter the quantity

  5. Enable Include variations if needed

  6. Confirm to apply

Update Methods

  • Set Quantity to — Overwrites the current stock with a fixed number (e.g. set all to 10)

  • Increase quantity by — Adds or subtracts from the existing stock level (e.g. +50 or -5)

Options

  • Include variations — Applies the inventory change to variation child SKUs as well as the parent

Use Case Examples

Example 1: New stock arrival

You've received 25 units each of 30 different products. Select all 30, choose your main warehouse, set Increase quantity by 25, and confirm. All 30 products are updated instantly.

Example 2: Set opening stock for a new import

You've just imported 100 new products from a supplier CSV. They all start with 0 inventory. Select all 100 and use Set Quantity to 1 to set a placeholder stock level while you verify quantities.

Example 3: Zero out discontinued items

A product line is being discontinued. Tag all relevant products, filter by tag, select all, and set quantity to 0 — this will trigger out-of-stock on all linked listings when synced.

⚠️ This action will only update or add the selected warehouse to the products — it will not remove other warehouses from them. If a product already has the selected warehouse assigned, its quantity will be updated. If it doesn't, the warehouse will be added.
