Learn how to update titles, prices, descriptions, and other attributes across multiple products at once using the Edit Product Attributes bulk action.

Written by Karolina Santiago

Overview

The Edit Product Attributes bulk action lets you update one or more attribute values across all selected products at once — saving you from editing each product individually.

When to Use This

  • You want to increase prices for a group of products by 10%

  • You need to add a keyword to the start of multiple product titles

  • You want to set a standard description for a batch of new products

  • You need to clear a custom attribute across hundreds of items at once

How to Use It

  1. Go to Products Catalog and select the products you want to update

  2. Click Bulk Actions → Edit Product Attributes

  3. Choose the Attribute Type: Product Property, Current Warehouse, or Custom Attribute

  4. Select the specific attribute (e.g. Title, Price, Description)

  5. Choose an action and set your value

  6. Choose your Save Option and confirm

Attribute Types

  • Product Property — Core fields like Title, Price, Description, and other standard product data

  • Current Warehouse — Warehouse-level inventory fields for the currently active warehouse

  • Custom Attribute — Any custom field you have defined on your products

Actions for Text Fields

For text-based attributes like Title or Description:

  • Set to — Replaces the current value entirely with your new text

  • Add to start — Prepends your text to the beginning of the existing value

  • Add to end — Appends your text to the end of the existing value

  • Delete value — Clears the field completely

Actions for Number Fields

For numeric attributes like Price or Cost:

  • Set an exact fixed value

  • Increase or decrease by an absolute amount (e.g. +5)

  • Increase or decrease by a percentage (e.g. +10%)

  • Round up to end in .99 (e.g. 19.47 → 19.99)

Additional Options

  • Only update empty attributes — Skips products that already have a value in the selected field. Useful for filling in missing data without overwriting existing values.

  • Include variations — Applies the change to variation child SKUs as well as the parent product

Save Options

  • Save changes to catalog only — Updates the Catalog without pushing changes to your live listings

  • Save changes to catalog and revise linked listings — Updates the Catalog and immediately pushes the changes to all linked channel listings

Use Case Examples

Example 1: Add a brand prefix to all product titles

You want all titles to start with "Official Brand:" — select your products, choose Add to start on the Title field, type "Official Brand: ", and save.

Example 2: Increase prices by 15%

Select all products in a category, choose Price, set action to Increase by percentage, enter 15, and save. Optionally revise linked listings immediately.

Note: You can update more than one attribute at once.

Example 3: Fill in missing descriptions

Select products with empty descriptions, enable Only update empty attributes, set a standard description, and save. Products that already have a description won't be touched.

⚠️ Changes to listings only push when you select "Save changes to catalog and revise linked listings". Saving to catalog only will not update your live eBay or Shopify listings until you revise them separately.
