Overview

The Listing Translation feature in 3Dsellers allows you to automatically translate your eBay listings when copying them to drafts. Using AI-powered translation, you can create localized versions of your listings—including translated titles, descriptions, and item specifics—so they’re ready for international marketplaces.

Currently, listing translation is available only through the “Copy to Drafts” action. This ensures your original listings remain unchanged while translated versions are created as new drafts that you can review before publishing.

Why Translate Your Listings?

🌍 Reach New Buyers

Most people prefer browsing and shopping in their native language. Translating your listings lets you speak directly to those buyers and gives you a better chance to convert them into customers.

📈 Increase Visibility

Localized listings rank better in search results because they use terms local buyers actually search for. Simply converting text isn’t always enough — localized content performs best in each marketplace.

🚀 Automate & Scale Your Expansion

Instead of copy-pasting and manually editing listings for every region, translation tools and automation allow you to expand more efficiently and consistently.

What Gets Translated or Converted

When using Copy to Drafts with Additional AI Actions, you can apply the following options:

Translated fields

The AI translation applies to free-text fields only, including:

  • Title – translated into the selected target language

  • Description – full product description, including HTML content

  • Item specifics – text-based item specifics are translated

    • In some cases, item specifics must match valid eBay values. If a translated value doesn’t match an accepted option, manual adjustment may be required.

Converted (optional, separate actions)

These are not translations, but optional conversions you can enable:

  • Price and currency – converted to the selected currency

  • Size and weight units – converted (for example, lbs/inches to kg/cm)

Important: Translation and conversion are independent options. You can enable translation only, conversion only, or both.

Supported Languages

Translation is available for languages supported by your connected eBay marketplaces, including:

  • Spanish

  • French

  • German

  • Italian

  • Portuguese

  • Dutch

  • Polish

  • And others, depending on marketplace availability

Only languages relevant to your connected eBay sites will appear.

Best Practices

Before Translation

  • Ensure your original listings are accurate and well-written

  • Fix item specifics and errors before translating

  • Group listings using segments for easier bulk processing

During Translation

  • Translate in manageable batches

  • Match the language to the target marketplace (e.g., French for eBay.fr)

  • Keep originals unchanged by working from drafts

After Translation

  • Always review before publishing

  • Double-check item specifics for valid eBay values

  • Confirm title character limits

  • Test with a small batch before scaling

Important Notes & Limitations

  • Translation applies only when copying listings to drafts

  • AI translation may require manual review and edits

  • Some item specifics require exact eBay-approved values

  • Translation creates new drafts, not edits to live listings

  • Availability depends on AI feature access and user permissions

AI Credit Usage

When using Copy to Drafts with Translation enabled, AI credits are consumed based on the number of listings processed.

  • 1 AI credit is used per listing copied

  • The credit is consumed per translated listing, not per bulk action

  • Copying multiple listings at once will deduct 1 AI credit for each listing

  • If translation is disabled, no AI credits are used

The Copy to Drafts modal displays:

  • Your remaining AI credits

  • The estimated AI credit cost before you confirm the action

This allows you to review and confirm the cost before proceeding.

Example:
Copying 5 listings with translation enabled will consume 5 AI credits.

Common Use Cases

  • Expanding listings from eBay US to EU marketplaces

  • Creating multi-language versions of the same product

  • Quickly preparing seasonal listings for international markets

  • Localizing listings while preserving originals
