Overview

eBay Ads in 3Dsellers empowers eBay sellers to create and manage Promoted Listings Standard campaigns directly from the platform. This feature allows you to advertise your eBay listings, control ad rates, and automate campaign management based on performance metrics. With eBay Ads, you can increase visibility for your products, optimize your advertising spend, and automatically adjust campaigns based on impressions, clicks, sales, and return on ad spend (ROAS).

Accessing eBay Ads

To navigate to the eBay Ads section:

  1. Log in to your 3Dsellers account

  2. Navigate to Listings & Products from the main menu

  3. Click on Listings in the navigation sidebar

  4. Select eBay Ads (marked with a "NEW" tag)

  5. Choose either Campaigns to manage your advertising campaigns or Automation to set up automated campaign rules

Creating a New Campaign

Follow these steps to create a new Promoted Listings Standard campaign:

  1. Navigate to Listings & Products > Listings > eBay Ads > Campaigns

  2. Click the + Create Campaign button

  3. Fill in the campaign details:

  • Campaign name: Enter a descriptive name for your campaign

Important Behaviors and Limitations

Campaign Account Assignment

  • Each eBay account has its own advertising campaigns. Make sure to select the correct Channel when creating a campaign

  • Campaigns are account-specific and will only appear under the account they were created for

  • If campaigns appear under the wrong account, use the Sync Campaigns button to refresh the data

Campaign Data Synchronization

  • Campaign metrics (impressions, clicks, sales) are synced from eBay. If data is missing, click Sync Campaigns to refresh

  • There may be a delay between when campaigns are created on eBay and when they appear in 3Dsellers

  • If campaign data is not showing, verify that the campaign is active on eBay and that the correct account is selected

Ad Rate Strategy

  • Dynamic ad rate: eBay automatically optimizes the ad rate. You can set a bid percentage higher or lower than eBay's suggested rate

  • Fixed ad rate: You set a specific percentage. You can choose to bid higher or lower than eBay's suggestion

  • Maximum ad rate: When enabled, this sets a cap on your ad spending to prevent overspending

  • Ad rates are calculated as a percentage of the item's sale price

Automation Triggers

  • Automations check conditions based on the metrics you select (impressions, clicks, sales, etc.)

  • You can set conditions like "less than", "greater than", or "equal to" a specific value

  • Time-based conditions (e.g., "for 3 days") ensure the condition persists before triggering the action

  • Automations run automatically once enabled, so review your trigger conditions carefully

Troubleshooting

Why aren't my campaigns showing up?

If campaigns created on eBay don't appear in 3Dsellers:

  • Click the Sync Campaigns button to refresh campaign data from eBay

  • Verify that you're viewing the correct eBay account in the account selector dropdown

  • Ensure the campaign is active on eBay and hasn't been paused or deleted

  • Check that the campaign was created under the same eBay account that's selected in 3Dsellers

Why are my campaign metrics (impressions, clicks) missing or incorrect?

If campaign performance data is not showing:

  • Click Sync Campaigns to refresh the latest data from eBay

  • Note that eBay may have a delay in reporting metrics, especially for new campaigns

  • Verify that the campaign has been active long enough to generate data

  • Check that listings have been added to the campaign and are active on eBay

Why are campaigns appearing under the wrong account?

If campaigns show under a different account than expected:

  • This can occur if campaigns were created directly on eBay under a different account

  • Use the account selector dropdown to switch between accounts and verify campaign ownership

  • Click Sync Campaigns to refresh the account association

  • When creating new campaigns in 3Dsellers, always verify the Channel selection matches your intended account

How do I edit or delete a campaign?

Campaign management options are available in the Actions column of the campaigns table. If you don't see edit or delete options:

  • Verify that you have the necessary permissions for the eBay account

  • Some campaigns may need to be edited directly on eBay if they were created there

  • Use the Sync Campaigns button to ensure you're viewing the most current campaign data

My automation isn't working. What should I check?

If your automation isn't triggering:

  • Verify that the automation status toggle is enabled (green toggle switch)

  • Check that the trigger conditions match actual campaign or listing metrics

  • Ensure the time-based condition (e.g., "for 3 days") has been met

  • Review the filter settings to ensure campaigns or listings match the filter criteria

  • Check that the selected action (pause, adjust rate, etc.) is valid for the current campaign state

Best Practices

  • Start with Dynamic Ad Rates: For new campaigns, consider using dynamic ad rates to let eBay optimize performance automatically

  • Monitor Performance Regularly: Check your campaign metrics frequently and adjust ad rates based on performance

  • Use Automations Strategically: Set up automations to pause underperforming campaigns or adjust rates for listings that aren't meeting your goals

  • Set Maximum Ad Rates: Enable maximum ad rate limits to prevent overspending, especially when using dynamic rates

  • Test Different Strategies: Create multiple campaigns with different ad rate strategies to compare performance

  • Sync Regularly: Use the Sync Campaigns button regularly to ensure you're viewing the most up-to-date data

  • Document Your Campaigns: Use the Notes field to document campaign goals and strategies for future reference

  • Review Automation Rules: Periodically review your automation rules to ensure they're still aligned with your advertising goals
