If you are using Email delivery for eBay Auto Messages (previously called ThankYou Emails), we'd like to update you that only eBay Messages will be sent moving forward.
Why only eBay Messages?
eBay has made it impossible to email most all buyers. (Real email addresses are hidden. eBay makes a protected forwarding address for buyers)
Because of this, we are transitioning the system to use only eBay Messages. (Shopify and other Auto Messages integrations will send emails)
How to cross-promote?
If you are cross-promoting items in the emails, there are a few options to continue, such as:
Include coupons or sales links in your eBay Messages (that relate to the item purchased or inquired about)
Use Shipping Tracker to send 3Dsellers shipping tracking links. The buyers will see other items from your store when tracking the package.
Will emails work again in the future?
We are trying diligently to help convince eBay to open access to real emails again or allow our emails through.
