How to connect Claude Code to 3Dsellers

Register the 3Dsellers MCP server in Claude Code with one terminal command and your token, then manage eBay, Amazon and Shopify listings from the CLI.

Written by Karolina Santiago

To connect Claude Code to 3Dsellers, generate an MCP token in 3Dsellers under Settings > Profile > API / MCP, then run one command in your terminal: claude mcp add with the server URL https://api.3dsellers.com/mcp and your token in the Authorization header. The tools are available in your next Claude Code session. It takes about five minutes. Claude Code then gets the same 150+ 3Dsellers tools as Claude in the browser: search and update your catalog, publish listings to eBay, Amazon, Walmart, Etsy and Shopify, fix item specifics in bulk, run CSV imports and check orders.

💡 Using Claude in the browser or Claude Desktop instead? That path needs no token: see How to connect Claude to 3Dsellers.

What you need

  • A 3Dsellers account (the free trial works).

  • Claude Code installed and signed in (see Anthropic's Claude Code MCP guide if you are new to it).

  • A 3Dsellers MCP token (step 1). Claude Code reads a config entry, so it connects with a token rather than a sign-in.

Step 1: Get your 3Dsellers MCP token

Claude Code connects with a token, so the first step is in 3Dsellers:

  1. Log in to 3Dsellers and open Settings > Profile > API / MCP, or go straight to app.3dsellers.com/api-mcp. The page opens on the Tokens tab.

  2. Click Connect MCP.

  3. Scroll to For developers, generate a token and copy it right away.

⚠️ The token is shown only once. Anyone who has it can read and change your 3Dsellers data, so do not commit it to code or paste it in a shared channel. If it leaks, revoke it on the same page under Issued tokens and generate a new one.

Step 2: Register the server in Claude Code

In your terminal, run this command with the token from step 1 in place of YOUR_TOKEN_HERE:

claude mcp add --transport http 3dsellers https://api.3dsellers.com/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_TOKEN_HERE"

That registers the 3Dsellers server with Claude Code under the name 3dsellers. To check it, run claude mcp list.

Step 3: Start a session and ask

  1. Open a new Claude Code session. The 3Dsellers tools load automatically.

  2. Ask: "What 3Dsellers tools do you have access to?" Claude Code reads the tool list and explains it.

  3. Before it runs a tool that changes data, Claude Code shows the call and asks for your approval. Reading your data needs no approval.

What can I ask Claude Code once it is connected?

Start by asking Claude Code what it can do: "What 3Dsellers tools do you have access to?" It reads the tool list and explains each one in plain language. Then try requests like these:

  • "What sold today across all my channels?"

  • "Which of my listings have errors, and what do the errors say?"

  • "Dry-run a CSV import of ./products.csv into my Product Catalog and tell me which rows would fail."

  • "Find products with no UPC and tag them check-identifiers. Show me the list first."

  • "Create an automation that tags every new eBay order over $200 as high-value."

Tip: add "show me first, don't change anything yet" to a request. Claude Code then describes what it plans to change in 3Dsellers and waits for your approval before it runs the tool.

Frequently asked questions

Does connecting Claude Code to 3Dsellers cost extra?

No - the MCP connection is included in every 3Dsellers plan, including the free trial. Reading your data (orders, listings, inventory, reports) is free. Actions that Claude Code runs in your account, such as publishing a listing or updating prices, use AI actions, which you buy in advance in the AI Lite, AI Pro or AI Elite package.

Is it safe to give Claude Code access to my 3Dsellers account?

Yes - Claude Code never sees your eBay, Amazon or other marketplace passwords. It connects to 3Dsellers with a token you control, can only use the tools the 3Dsellers MCP server exposes, and asks for your approval before it runs any tool that changes data. You can disconnect it at any time: in 3Dsellers open Settings > Profile > API / MCP (app.3dsellers.com/api-mcp), find the Claude Code entry in Issued tokens and click Revoke. Claude Code loses access on its next request.

Does Claude Code work with all my channels?

Yes - one connection covers every channel connected to your 3Dsellers account: eBay, Amazon, Walmart, Etsy, Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, TikTok Shop and any other channel you have added. If you have more than one seller account, ask Claude Code to "list my sellers" and include the seller ID in a request to scope it to one account.

How do I disconnect Claude Code from 3Dsellers?

Run claude mcp remove 3dsellers in your terminal to drop the server from Claude Code, and revoke the token in 3Dsellers under Settings > Profile > API / MCP > Issued tokens so it cannot be used again.

Claude Code does not show the 3Dsellers tools. What do I check?

Run claude mcp list and check that 3dsellers is there. Check that the URL is exactly https://api.3dsellers.com/mcp, that the header reads Bearer followed by one space and the whole token, and that you started a new session after adding the server. Calls with a missing or wrong token are not logged, so if the Requests tab on the 3Dsellers API/MCP page stays empty, the token is the first thing to check.
