How to connect Cursor to 3Dsellers

Add the 3Dsellers MCP server to Cursor with one config block and your token, and manage eBay, Amazon, Etsy and Shopify listings from your editor.

Written by Karolina Santiago

To connect Cursor to 3Dsellers, generate an MCP token in 3Dsellers under Settings > Profile > API / MCP, add one server block with that token to Cursor's mcp.json (or use Add to Cursor on the 3Dsellers page in Cursor Directory), and restart Cursor. The server URL is https://api.3dsellers.com/mcp. It takes about five minutes. The AI in Cursor then gets the same 150+ 3Dsellers tools Claude and ChatGPT use: search and update your catalog, publish listings to eBay, Amazon, Walmart, Etsy and Shopify, fix item specifics in bulk, run CSV imports and check orders.

In this article:

What you need

  • A 3Dsellers account (the free trial works).

  • Cursor installed, with its AI agent enabled.

  • A 3Dsellers MCP token (step 1). Editors read a config file, so unlike Claude or ChatGPT they connect with a token rather than a sign-in.

Step 1: Get your 3Dsellers MCP token

Cursor connects with a token, so the first step is in 3Dsellers:

  1. Log in to 3Dsellers and open Settings > Profile > API / MCP, or go straight to app.3dsellers.com/api-mcp. The page opens on the Tokens tab.

  2. Click Connect MCP.

  3. Scroll to For developers, generate a token and copy it right away.

The Tokens tab of the 3Dsellers API/MCP page with the Add to Claude, Get API token and Connect MCP buttons

⚠️ The token is shown only once. Anyone who has it can read and change your 3Dsellers data, so do not commit it to code or paste it in a shared channel. If it leaks, revoke it on the same page under Issued tokens and generate a new one.

Step 2: Add the server to Cursor

The quickest way: open the 3Dsellers page on Cursor Directory and click Add to Cursor, then paste your token when Cursor asks for it.

Or add it by hand. Open your Cursor MCP config file and add this block, replacing YOUR_TOKEN_HERE with the token from step 1:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "3dsellers": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://api.3dsellers.com/mcp",
      "headers": {
        "Authorization": "Bearer YOUR_TOKEN_HERE"
      }
    }
  }
}
  • All projects: ~/.cursor/mcp.json

  • One project: .cursor/mcp.json in the project root

You can also open Cursor Settings > Tools & MCP > Add server and enter the same URL and Authorization header there.

Step 3: Restart Cursor and ask

  1. Save the file and restart Cursor.

  2. 3Dsellers appears in Cursor's list of connected tools.

  3. In the agent chat, ask: "What 3Dsellers tools do you have access to?" The AI reads the tool list and explains it.

Tools that change data ask for your approval before they run. Reading your data needs no approval.

What can I ask Cursor once it is connected?

Start by asking Cursor what it can do: "What 3Dsellers tools do you have access to?" It reads the tool list and explains each one in plain language. Then try requests like these:

  • "What sold today across all my channels?"

  • "Which of my listings have errors, and what do the errors say?"

  • "Find every eBay listing missing the Brand item specific and fill it in from the product title. Show me the list first."

  • "Dry-run a CSV import of ./products.csv into my Product Catalog and tell me which rows would fail."

  • "Which 10 SKUs sold the most this month, and how many of each do I have left?"

Tip: add "show me first, don't change anything yet" to a request. Cursor then describes what it plans to change in 3Dsellers and waits for your approval before it runs the tool.

Frequently asked questions

Does connecting Cursor to 3Dsellers cost extra?

No - the MCP connection is included in every 3Dsellers plan, including the free trial. Reading your data (orders, listings, inventory, reports) is free. Actions that Cursor runs in your account, such as publishing a listing or updating prices, use AI actions, which you buy in advance in the AI Lite, AI Pro or AI Elite package.

Is it safe to give Cursor access to my 3Dsellers account?

Yes - Cursor never sees your eBay, Amazon or other marketplace passwords. It connects to 3Dsellers with a token you control, can only use the tools the 3Dsellers MCP server exposes, and asks for your approval before it runs any tool that changes data. You can disconnect it at any time: in 3Dsellers open Settings > Profile > API / MCP (app.3dsellers.com/api-mcp), find the Cursor entry in Issued tokens and click Revoke. Cursor loses access on its next request.

Does Cursor work with all my channels?

Yes - one connection covers every channel connected to your 3Dsellers account: eBay, Amazon, Walmart, Etsy, Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, TikTok Shop and any other channel you have added. If you have more than one seller account, ask Cursor to "list my sellers" and include the seller ID in a request to scope it to one account.

Where do I get the token, and can I see it again later?

In 3Dsellers, open Settings > Profile > API / MCP (app.3dsellers.com/api-mcp), click Connect MCP and generate a token under For developers. The token is shown once, so copy it right away. The Issued tokens list on the same page shows only the last 6 characters of each token; if you lose a token, revoke it and generate a new one.

Cursor does not show the 3Dsellers tools. What do I check?

Check that the JSON is valid, that the URL is exactly https://api.3dsellers.com/mcp, that the header reads Bearer followed by one space and the whole token, and that you restarted Cursor after saving. Calls with a missing or wrong token are not logged, so if the Requests tab on the 3Dsellers API/MCP page stays empty, the token is the first thing to check.
