eBay Video Library: Upload and Add Videos to Listings

Upload MP4 videos to the 3Dsellers Video Library from your computer or a direct link, then add one to many eBay listings with a bulk action.

Written by Amit Fidelman

To add a video to your eBay listings in 3Dsellers, first upload the video to the 3Dsellers Video Library (Listings Manager → Video Library), from your computer or from a direct link to an mp4 file. Then select your listings and use Bulk Actions → Images & Video → Add Video to Listings. eBay allows one video per listing, and eBay reviews every video before it shows on a listing.

⚠️ The 3Dsellers Video Library supports mp4 video files only. Links to YouTube or other video platforms, such as Vimeo, TikTok, Facebook or Instagram, are not supported. Paste a direct link to a hosted mp4 file, or upload the mp4 file from your computer.

💡 Open the Video Library in 3Dsellers to see your eBay videos and their status.

Add a video from the 3Dsellers Video Library to one or many eBay listings with the Add Video to Listings bulk action. Upload the video to the Video Library first.

  1. Go to your eBay listings, for example Listings Segments → Active.

  2. Tick the listings that should get the video. To add a video to a single listing, tick just that one.

  3. Click Bulk Actions, then open Images & Video, or type Video in the search box at the top of the menu.

  4. Click Add Video to Listings.

⭐ Add Video to Listings is for eBay listings in the Active, Unsold Active and Scheduled segments. It is not offered for drafts or ended listings.

How do I add the same video to my other eBay accounts?

eBay keeps videos per account, so a video in one account's Video Library cannot be used on another account's listings as is. The 3Dsellers Add Video to Listings bulk action can copy the video across for you.

  1. Follow the steps for adding a video to your eBay listings, up to Select.

  2. Tick Also add this video to matching SKUs in my other eBay accounts. The box is not ticked by default.

  3. Click Add to listings.

The Also add this video to matching SKUs in my other eBay accounts box in the 3Dsellers Add video to listings window, with its explanation.

With the box ticked, every active eBay listing in your connected eBay accounts that shares a SKU with the selected listings gets the video. 3Dsellers uploads a copy of the video to each account and adds that copy to the account's Video Library.

The box only appears when more than one eBay account is connected to your 3Dsellers account.

Does a listing's video come along when I copy it to another account?

It can. When you copy eBay listings with the 3Dsellers Copy to 3Dsellers Drafts bulk action (under Bulk Actions → Manage), its window has a Copy videos option, just above Skip listings that already have a draft.

Make sure Copy videos is ticked before you click Copy to drafts if the drafts should keep the listing's video. Because eBay keeps videos per account, a video copied to a different account is uploaded to that account again. See How to copy & transfer listings to other eBay accounts.

Troubleshooting

My YouTube link is not accepted

The 3Dsellers Video Library does not support links to YouTube or other video platforms, such as Vimeo, TikTok, Facebook or Instagram. 3Dsellers shows the message "Links to video platforms are not supported. Use a direct link to an mp4 file". Paste a direct link to the mp4 file itself, or upload the mp4 file.

My video is not in the Add video to listings list

The Add video to listings window only lists videos with the status LIVE or PROCESSING. A video that is PENDING_UPLOAD, PROCESSING_FAILED or BLOCKED does not appear. Check the status in the 3Dsellers Video Library, or upload the video there first.

My video says BLOCKED or PROCESSING_FAILED

eBay rejected or could not process the video. In the 3Dsellers Video Library, point at the ? next to the status to read eBay's reason, if eBay gave one. If the message mentions the codec or a corrupted video, export the video again as an mp4 (MPEG-4 AVC) within the limits, then upload the new file.

My video has said PROCESSING for a long time

eBay moderates every video before it is posted to listings. The 3Dsellers upload message says this takes up to 48 hours, or up to seven business days during peak periods. If the status in the 3Dsellers Video Library has not changed after that, contact 3Dsellers support with the video name.

I can't find Add Video to Listings in Bulk Actions

Add Video to Listings works on eBay listings in the Active, Unsold Active and Scheduled segments. Open one of those segments, tick your listings, and look under Bulk Actions → Images & Video. If Unsold Active is not in your Listings Segments list, click Show more under the list.

I don't see the box for my other eBay accounts

The Also add this video to matching SKUs in my other eBay accounts box only appears when more than one eBay account is connected to your 3Dsellers account.
