AI credits are the balance 3Dsellers spends when you run a paid AI action on your eBay listings, such as generating a title or removing an image background. Your balance appears as Remaining AI Credits on the 3Dsellers Billing page.
The Generate AI content and AI background removal dialogs show what the action will cost before you run it. You manage your AI plan and the auto-recharge switch in Manage Add-ons. When your balance is too low for an action and auto-recharge is off, 3Dsellers opens a refill dialog.
⚠️ AI background removal costs 10 AI action credits for every image it processes, and it overrides your existing images. Removing backgrounds from all listing images multiplies the cost by the number of images. Read the cost line in the dialog before you click Apply.

Where do I see my AI credit balance?
Your 3Dsellers AI credit balance is on the Billing page, in the Add-Ons Usage section. It is one number, labelled Remaining AI Credits.
Open the Billing page.
Scroll to Add-Ons Usage.
Find the AI Tokens row. It reads, for example, 0 Remaining AI Credits, with a Manage AI Tokens button beside it.
The same figure appears in the AI Tokens row of Manage Add-ons and in the footer of the Generate AI content and AI background removal dialogs.
How do I choose an AI plan or turn on auto-recharge?
You choose your 3Dsellers AI plan and the auto-recharge switch in the same place: the AI Tokens row of the Manage Add-ons dialog.
Open the Billing page and scroll to Add-Ons Usage.
Click Manage AI Tokens in the AI Tokens row. The Manage Add-ons dialog opens.
In the AI Tokens row, use the plan select (1) to pick None, AI Lite, AI Pro or AI Elite.
To turn auto-recharge on or off, use the switch (2).
Read the total at the bottom of the dialog, for example Total monthly billed. Then click Update Subscription, or click Cancel to close the dialog.
The switch label reads Auto-recharge AI credits when plan tokens are exceeded - $9 per 2,000 AI Actions. The label includes a price, so check the price on your own screen before you click Update Subscription.
What AI plans can I choose from?
The 3Dsellers AI Tokens select in Manage Add-ons offers four choices. Each line shows the plan name, its size in AI Actions and its price: AI Lite: 2,000 AI Actions - $9, AI Pro: 5,000 AI Actions - $20 and AI Elite: 10,000 AI Actions - $29, plus None. The prices below are copied from the Manage Add-ons screen, so check them on your own screen.

To estimate how much AI you need, add up the credits for the work you plan to do using the cost table in the next section. For example, generating an Item title and an Item description for 500 listings costs 1,000 AI credits: 500 listings, 2 options, 1 credit each. Use the total as a guide when you choose a plan.

What do 3Dsellers AI actions cost?
Different 3Dsellers AI actions cost different amounts of AI credits. The Generate AI content and AI background removal dialogs show the total before you run them. This table lists the actions covered in this article.

The dialog total is the number to trust. Read it before you click Generate or Apply.
How do I check the cost of Generate AI content?
The Generate AI content dialog in 3Dsellers adds up the cost of every option you tick and shows the total at the bottom.
Open Listings → Active and tick the listings you want.
Click Bulk Actions and choose an AI action in the Content or SEO group, such as Generate SEO Meta Description. The Generate AI content dialog opens.
Under What would you like to generate?, tick the options you want: Item title, Item description, Item mobile description, Meta description & keywords, Item specifics or Item category.
Read the line at the bottom left of the dialog, for example This action will cost 2 AI credits., and the Remaining AI credits line above it.
Click Generate to run the action, or Cancel to close the dialog.
The screenshot shows one selected listing with only Meta description & keywords ticked. The footer reads This action will cost 2 AI credits.
How do I check the cost of AI background removal?
The AI background removal dialog in 3Dsellers states its price per image at the top and again at the bottom.
Open Listings → Active and tick the listings you want.
Click Bulk Actions, open Images & Video and click Remove Image Background. The AI background removal dialog opens.
Read Cost: 10 AI action credits per image in the banner at the top of the dialog. The footer repeats it as Using this bulk action will cost 10 AI action credits per image.
Choose the images (1). The default is Remove background from main images only. The other choice is Remove background from all listing images. Include variations is a separate tick box. When it is ticked, each variation image is charged as well.
Click Apply to run the action, or Cancel to close the dialog.
The dialog also notes: this action will override your existing images.

What happens when I run out of AI credits?
When you run a 3Dsellers AI action that costs more than your Remaining AI Credits, the result depends on the auto-recharge switch and your role.
Auto-recharge is off and you are the account administrator: 3Dsellers opens a refill dialog titled Add AI Credits. It says you can still add more credits for an extra fee.
Auto-recharge is off and you are a teammate: 3Dsellers opens a dialog titled AI Actions - No permissions. It asks you to contact your account administrator to refill your AI Actions.
Auto-recharge is on: 3Dsellers does not open the refill dialog.
To skip the refill dialog, switch on auto-recharge in Manage Add-ons. You can also review your AI plan there. The steps are in How do I choose an AI plan or turn on auto-recharge?.
How does auto-recharge work?
Auto-recharge is a switch in the AI Tokens row of the 3Dsellers Manage Add-ons dialog. Its label reads Auto-recharge AI credits when plan tokens are exceeded - $9 per 2,000 AI Actions.
With the switch on, 3Dsellers does not open the refill dialog when an AI action needs more credits than you have.
Purchasing AI credits needs a payment method on your account. Without one, 3Dsellers can show No payment method found. Please add one before purchasing AI credits. Add a payment method in the Payment Method section of the Billing page.
If a recharge charge fails, 3Dsellers waits about 15 minutes before it tries again.
Troubleshooting
My balance shows 0 Remaining AI Credits
With auto-recharge off, 3Dsellers opens a refill dialog when an AI action costs more than your balance. Review your AI plan, switch on auto-recharge, or add credits from the refill dialog. The actions listed under Which AI actions are free? do not use credits.
An Add AI Credits dialog opened when I clicked Generate or Apply
The AI action you chose in 3Dsellers costs more than your Remaining AI Credits, and auto-recharge is off. If you are the account administrator, follow the dialog to add credits for an extra fee, or switch on auto-recharge in Manage Add-ons and run the action again.
I see AI Actions - No permissions
That dialog means your 3Dsellers user cannot refill AI credits. Ask your account administrator to refill your AI credits.
I can't find the AI plan select, or it says Not available for this plan
While your 3Dsellers account is on a trial, Manage Add-ons does not show the AI Tokens plan row. On the Essential plan the row shows Not available for this plan. Check which plan you are on in Billing.
Auto-recharge did not add credits
Check that the auto-recharge switch in 3Dsellers Manage Add-ons is on and that you clicked Update Subscription. Then check that a payment method is saved in the Payment Method section of the Billing page. After a failed charge, 3Dsellers waits about 15 minutes before it tries again.
My AI credits dropped faster than I expected
AI background removal costs 10 AI action credits for every image and overrides your existing images, so removing backgrounds from all listing images or including variations uses credits quickly. In Generate AI content, each option you tick costs 1 credit per listing and Meta description & keywords costs 2. Read the dialog total before you click Generate or Apply.
