Overview
Marketplaces such as eBay reject a listing when a required field is empty. AI autofill missing fields lets 3Dsellers fill those gaps for you, using the data already in your listing, so the item can pass validation and publish without you completing every field by hand.
The feature is available in three places:
Inside the Listing Editor when editing a draft
In the Publish to Channel dialog when bulk-listing drafts
In the Product Catalog when publishing products to a channel
What AI Autofill Fills (and What It Does Not)
AI autofill only completes fields that can be safely inferred from your existing listing content.
Fields the AI can fill:
Item Specifics (for example Brand, Type, Material, Model, Compatible Make and Year)
Title
Description
Fields the AI will never fill:
Product Identifiers (MPN, UPC, EAN, ISBN, ePID)
Shipping Location (Country, City/Region, Postal Code)
Business Policies (Payment, Shipping, Return)
Price
Category
These fields are deliberately excluded because a guessed value here would be worse than an honest validation error. A made-up UPC or a wrong shipping location could create real problems for your listing, so these must always be entered by you. If one of these fields is still empty after running AI autofill, it will remain flagged as a validation error until you fill it manually.
Option 1: Fix with AI Inside the Listing Editor
When you open a draft that has validation errors in the Listing Editor:
Select the With Errors filter at the top of the editor to show only the fields that are failing validation. The number next to it shows how many errors the draft has.
A banner appears above the form reading "X validation errors - Let AI fill the fields that are missing a value".
Click Fix with AI.
The AI fills every eligible empty field in one click. Each field the AI completed is outlined so you can review the value before saving.
Review the filled values, adjust anything you disagree with, then click Update Draft or List Item.
A notification will tell you how many fields were filled and which ones were skipped because they are not eligible for AI (identifiers, shipping location, and so on).
You can also use the small AI button next to an individual Item Specific or the Description field to fill just that one field.
Option 2: AI Autofill When Bulk-Publishing Drafts
When you publish several drafts at once from the Listings drafts view:
Select the drafts and open Publish to Channel.
At the top of the dialog, turn on the AI autofill missing fields toggle. It is off by default every time you open the dialog, so you opt in for each publish.
Choose your account, site, policies, and other settings as usual.
Click Publish Drafts To Channel.
Before each draft is sent to the marketplace, the AI fills the eligible missing item specifics so the listing is not rejected for an empty required field. If the marketplace still returns an error, that error is about something the AI is not allowed to fill (for example a missing category, location, or identifier) and needs your attention.
Option 3: AI Autofill When Publishing from the Catalog
The same AI autofill missing fields toggle appears in the Product Catalog's Publish to Channel dialog and Bulk Publish to channel. It works the same way: when a catalog product is missing a required channel field, the AI fills the eligible item specifics before the product is published.
For more on publishing from the Catalog, see How to Publish Products to Channels in 3Dsellers Catalog.
Tips and Things to Know
Always review AI-filled values. The AI works from your title, description, and existing specifics. It is accurate for most items, but you remain responsible for the final listing content.
Only accepted values are used. For item specifics that require a value from a fixed list (for example Item Condition or Type), the AI only fills a value the marketplace actually accepts for that category. If no matching value exists, the field is left empty rather than filled with something the marketplace would reject.
Existing values are not overwritten. AI autofill only fills fields that are empty. Anything you have already entered stays as is.
Still seeing errors after autofill? Check the fields listed in the "Fields the AI will never fill" section above. Those must be entered manually.
Account-level control. If AI autofill has been disabled for your account in the Catalog settings, the Fix with AI button and the publish toggle are replaced with a note pointing you to Attribute Mapping Templates.
