Teammates let your employees, virtual assistants or freelancers use your 3Dsellers account with their own login, so you never share your password. As the account owner, you invite a teammate by email, then choose which of your selling accounts they can open and which tools they can use. You manage everything from the Teammates page.
⚠️ Each teammate needs an email address that is not already registered on any other 3Dsellers account, including the teammate's own. If the address is taken, 3Dsellers shows This email address is registered to another account. Please use a different email address. and the invitation cannot be sent. Use a different address for the invitation.
⭐ Only the account owner sees the Invite Teammate button, the Actions column and the Helpdesk Agent column. A teammate who opens the Teammates page sees the table without them.
In this article:
Where do I find Teammates in 3Dsellers?
Open Settings and expand Profile. The sub-menu lists My Profile, Teammates and Verified Emails.
Click Teammates. The page heading reads Teammates.
Read the table. It has the columns Email, User Name, Invitation Date, Joining Date, Status and 2FA. The row for the owner of the 3Dsellers account shows Owner Account under its Status.
You can also type Team Members into the 3Dsellers global search. The result reads Manage team access and permissions. The account owner sees three more things on the Teammates page: the Invite Teammate button, a Helpdesk Agent column and an Actions column.
The 2FA column shows Enabled or Disabled for each teammate. Its tooltip reads You can enable 2FA on your profile page to enhance security.
How do I invite a teammate?
Inviting a teammate in 3Dsellers takes two steps in one dialog, Add New Teammate. You must be the account owner.
Step 1: General
On the Teammates page, click Invite Teammate. The Add New Teammate dialog opens on the General tab, headed Invite a new user to your team.
In Name:, type the teammate's name. It is required and can be up to 80 characters.
In Email:, type the address the invitation goes to. It is required and must be a valid address. This is also the address the teammate signs in with. 3Dsellers checks it when you leave the field.
Optional: in IP addresses: (Optional), type an IP address and press Enter to add it. The help text reads Limit your teammate access to a specific IP addresses. Sign in attempts on other IPs will be blocked.
Click Next.
Step 2: Permissions
On the Permissions tab, find Select accounts this teammate can access. It has one checkbox for each selling account connected to your 3Dsellers account. Tick the accounts the teammate may use. You must tick at least one, or 3Dsellers shows One account at least is required.
Under Select the tools and features this teammate can manage., tick the tools the teammate may use. Ticking a tool ticks all of its sub-tabs. You can untick a single sub-tab to keep it away from the teammate.
Each list has Select All and Deselect All to tick or clear the whole list at once.
Click Send Invitation. 3Dsellers shows A teammate invitation sent! and the teammate appears in the table with the status Invited.
Use Back to return to the General tab, or Cancel to close the dialog without inviting anyone. If you have no selling account connected, the Permissions tab offers Add Integrations and Close instead.
The teammate receives an email and accepts the invitation. The teammate then sees only the tools and tool tabs you ticked.
Which permissions can I give a teammate?
3Dsellers Teammates permissions work in two layers: which selling accounts the teammate can access, and which tools and tool tabs the teammate can manage. These are the tools you can tick, exactly as the Permissions tab labels them.
Tools with one checkbox
These tools have no sub-tabs: Billing, Dashboard, Orders Insights, Helpdesk Insights, Orders, Resolution Center, Shipping Tracker, Image Editor, Report Center, Webstore and Customers.

💡 In 3Dsellers Teammates permissions, Edit Listings and End Listings sit under Listings Manager. Do not rely on those two checkboxes alone to stop a teammate from editing or ending listings. To keep a teammate out of Listings Manager entirely, leave the whole Listings Manager tool unticked.
What does a teammate see after I set permissions?
In 3Dsellers, a teammate sees a sidebar item and a tool tab only when you gave them that permission. For a tool that has tabs, such as Listings Manager, the tool does not appear in the teammate's sidebar when no tab is ticked. A tool without tabs appears only if you ticked the tool itself. The Helpdesk features inside the Helpdesk are filtered the same way by the Helpdesk tabs you ticked. The owner always sees everything.
You can change what a teammate sees at any time. Open Edit for that teammate in the Actions column, change the ticks and click Update.
What do Invited, Expired and Joined mean?
Status | Meaning in 3Dsellers Teammates |
Invited | You sent the invitation and the teammate has not accepted it yet. |
Expired | The invitation is older than 72 hours. Send it again. |
Joined | The teammate accepted and can sign in. The owner's row reads Owner Account. |
How do I resend, edit or remove a teammate?
The Actions column on the Teammates page is visible to the account owner only. The owner's own row has no actions.
Copy an invitation link
For a teammate whose status is Invited or Expired, click the link icon (Click to copy invitation link). The Invitation Link dialog opens and explains that the link is valid for 72 hours and gives immediate access to your 3Dsellers account, so be careful who you send it to. Click Copy Link to copy it, or Close. 3Dsellers shows Link copied.
Resend the invitation email
Click the paper-plane icon in the teammate's row. 3Dsellers emails the invitation again and shows Invitation sent to the teammate.
Wait before you click again. For 60 seconds the icon tooltip reads Please wait and a number of seconds.
If you have resent too many times in a day, 3Dsellers shows Daily invitation limit reached. Try again later.
Edit a teammate
Click Edit. The dialog opens titled Edit your teammate followed by the teammate's name, with the same General and Permissions tabs. The email address cannot be changed. Click Update to save. 3Dsellers shows Thank you! Profile was updated successfully.
Remove a teammate
Click Delete in the teammate's row.
In the Warning box, read Are you sure you want to delete teammate and the name.
Click Yes, delete to remove the teammate, or Cancel to keep them.
How many teammates can I invite?
Your 3Dsellers subscription sets how many teammates you can invite. The owner does not count. When you reach the limit, Invite Teammate opens a dialog saying your current plan allows you to connect up to a number of teammates and Please upgrade your subscription to invite more teammates. Click Upgrade to change plan or Cancel to close it. If 3Dsellers rejects an invitation, you may see Your subscription allows a maximum of N teammates.
How do I make a teammate a Helpdesk agent?
Access to the 3Dsellers Helpdesk is a separate switch from tool permissions. In the Helpdesk Agent column, owners can switch a teammate on. The column tooltip reads By turning this on, your teammate will have access to the Helpdesk and become a Helpdesk agent. Just remember, each Helpdesk agent costs extra money.
Turning the switch off opens Remove Teammate from Helpdesk Agent. You must tick I agree, please remove "name" from the Helpdesk. (your teammate's name appears in place of name) before the removal can go ahead. A teammate whose Helpdesk access is off sees Your Helpdesk agent access is currently disabled. Please enable it in the Teammates settings to access the Helpdesk. For seats, pricing and the full comparison, see Teammates vs. Agents: What’s the Difference?.
Troubleshooting
It says the email address is registered to another account
A 3Dsellers teammate invitation can only go to an address that is not registered on any 3Dsellers account. The message reads This email address is registered to another account. Please use a different email address. Invite the teammate with a different address, for example a second mailbox of theirs.
It says I have reached the maximum number of email verifications for today
3Dsellers limits how many addresses it checks per day. The message reads You have reached the maximum number of email verifications allowed for today. Please try again tomorrow. Wait until the next day and invite again.
It says one account at least is required
On the Permissions tab, tick at least one box under Select accounts this teammate can access.
I do not see Invite Teammate, Actions or Helpdesk Agent
Only the owner of the 3Dsellers account sees them. Sign in as the owner.
The invitation shows Expired
Invitations are valid for 72 hours. Use the paper-plane icon to send it again, or the link icon to copy the invitation link.
It says the name cannot exceed 80 characters
Shorten the name in the Name: field to 80 characters or fewer.
My teammate cannot see a tool
Open Edit for the teammate, check the tool and its sub-tabs on the Permissions tab, and click Update. A teammate sees a tool or tab only when you ticked it.
