Print SKU Labels from Listings (Bulk Action and Presets)

Print barcode SKU labels for up to 50 listings at once from the 3Dsellers Listings grid, and save your label settings as presets for next time.

Written by Amit Fidelman

Print SKU Label is a bulk action in the 3Dsellers Listings grid. Tick up to 50 listings, open Bulk Actions, choose Print SKU Label, pick your label printer and size, and click Print Label. 3Dsellers builds the barcode labels with the SKU, product name, price or other fields you choose. You can also save your settings as a preset and reuse them next time.

⚠️ Print SKU Label in 3Dsellers works for up to 50 listings at a time. If you use Select all or tick more than 50, the dialog closes and an error message asks you to select specific listings.

Where do I find Print SKU Label on the Listings grid?

  1. In 3Dsellers, open Listings & Products and go to the Listings grid, for example the Active segment.

  2. Tick the checkbox of each listing you want labels for. Bulk Actions stays greyed out until at least one listing is ticked.

  3. Click Bulk Actions and type label in the search box. Print SKU Label appears in the Images & Video group.

  4. Click Print SKU Label. The Print SKU Label dialog opens with settings on the left and a Label Preview on the right.

The 3Dsellers Print SKU Label dialog has five parts: Template Presets, Printer Settings, Barcode Settings, Label Content, and the preview with Printing Details. The Label Preview shows the first listing you ticked, so you can check how a real label will look.

Print SKU Label is offered in these 3Dsellers Listings segments: All, Active, Unsold, Scheduled, Ended and Drafts. In segments built around problems, such as Missing SKU, Duplicate SKU, Duplicate Title, Listings with Errors and Not in Catalog, the action is not available. If you do not see it, switch to the Active or All segment.

How do I choose my label printer and size?

In Printer Settings of the 3Dsellers Print SKU Label dialog, you pick a brand, then a size.

  1. Click a brand button. Five brands show first: A-Series, Avery, BESTEASY, BETCKEY and Bixolon. A-Series is selected by default.

  2. Click Others to show the full list. 3Dsellers offers 29 brands, including Brother, Dymo, Rollo, Uline, Zebra and Herma.

  3. Choose a size from the list under the brands. Each row shows the label name and its size, for example Dymo - 11352 - Return address at 25 × 54mm.

  4. If your label is not in the list, choose Custom size. Enter the Width and Height and pick inches or mm from the unit list. The unit is mm by default.

Printing Details under the preview tells you what 3Dsellers will produce for that size:

  • Printed on a label sheet with a row and column count, such as 8 rows 3 columns, and Copies of the sheet page.

  • Printed on a side by side label roll or Printed on a continuous roll, with Amount of barcode on roll.

  • Custom Size when you enter your own width and height.

How do I set the barcode, encoding and number of copies?

Barcode Settings in the 3Dsellers Print SKU Label dialog controls what the barcode contains and how it is drawn.

Setting

Options

What it does

Barcode Value

SKU, UPC, EAN, MPN

Which listing field is turned into the barcode. SKU is the default.

Hide Barcode Value

Switch, off by default

Hides the number printed under the barcode.

Barcode Encoding

Code 128, Code 39, EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC, ITF, QR Code

The barcode type. Code 128 is the default.

Number of Copies

1 to 10

How many copies to print, from 1 to 10. The default is 1.

EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC and ITF need numbers of a fixed length. If the value does not fit, a red line appears under Barcode Encoding, for example Requires 12 or 13 digits for EAN-13. The other messages are Requires 7 or 8 digits (EAN-8), Requires 11 or 12 digits (UPC) and Requires 13 or 14 digits (ITF). When the number has the right length but is not valid, the message is Invalid checksum. The line ends with the value that was checked, for example (Value: Does not apply) as shown below.

The Barcode Settings in the 3Dsellers Print SKU Label dialog with UPC as the barcode value, EAN-13 as the encoding and the red line Requires 12 or 13 digits.

This red line is a warning. It checks the first listing you ticked, so choose an encoding that suits your data. Code 128, Code 39 and QR Code have no digit rule in this check.

How do I choose what the label says?

Label Content in the 3Dsellers Print SKU Label dialog sets the text lines printed with the barcode.

  1. Find Line 1 (required). It starts with Product name, Price and SKU ticked.

  2. Click Add field to add more. The list offers Vendor, Brand, MPN, UPC, EAN, Bin Location and Shipping Address next to the three already in use.

  3. Drag a field by its handle to change the order, or untick a field to remove it from the label.

  4. Use Line 2 for a second line of text. Hover the ? next to Label Content to read "Customize content for line 1 and 2".

  5. Leave Display barcode symbol ticked under Barcode Symbol to print the barcode itself. Untick it if you do not want the barcode symbol on the label.

The Label Preview updates as you change fields. Fields on the same line are joined with a slash.

How do I print the labels?

  1. Check the Label Preview and Printing Details.

  2. Click Print Label at the bottom right of the 3Dsellers Print SKU Label dialog. Click Close instead to leave without printing.

  3. 3Dsellers opens the finished label file in a new browser tab. Print it from there. If you get a ZIP file instead of a PDF, open it and print each PDF.

Print SKU Label does not change your listings. The preview is a guide, so print one sheet or one label on plain paper first to check the size.

How do I save and reuse label presets?

A preset in 3Dsellers stores your label settings so you do not rebuild them each time.

How do I save a preset?

  1. Set the printer, size, barcode and label content the way you want them.

  2. Click Save as Preset next to Template Presets.

  3. Type a name in the Preset name box. Save Preset stays greyed out until the name is not blank.

  4. Click Save Preset. A Preset saved message appears and the new preset is selected.

The Save as Preset popover in the 3Dsellers Print SKU Label dialog with the Preset name box and the Save Preset button.

How do I use a saved preset?

Open Select Template Preset in the 3Dsellers Print SKU Label dialog and click a preset. It fills in the brand and size (or custom size and unit), barcode value, encoding, number of copies, Display barcode symbol and the list of fields. If you change any setting afterwards, the preset box goes blank, because the settings no longer match.

⭐ A 3Dsellers preset does not remember Hide Barcode Value, and the fields are placed on Line 1 and Line 2 again when you apply it. After choosing a preset, check the Label Preview and set those two things if you need them.

How do I delete or change a preset?

Each preset in the list has a trash icon. Click it and confirm with Delete in the box that asks "Are you sure you want to delete this preset?"; Cancel keeps it. A Preset deleted message confirms it. To change a preset, save a new one with the new settings and delete the old one.

The Print SKU Label dialog in the Orders Manager uses the same preset list. See How to Print SKU Labels for Orders.

Can I print a label for just one listing?

Yes. Tick one listing and use Print SKU Label from Bulk Actions as described above. The listing editor toolbar also has a print-icon button with the tooltip Print SKU Label, which opens the same dialog for that one listing.

Troubleshooting

I can't find Print SKU Label in Bulk Actions

Tick at least one listing first, then open Bulk Actions in the 3Dsellers Listings grid and search for label. Print SKU Label is not offered in the Missing SKU, Duplicate SKU, Duplicate Title, Listings with Errors and Not in Catalog segments, so switch to Active or All.

The dialog closed with an error about 50 listings

3Dsellers Print SKU Label supports up to 50 selected listings at a time. Select specific listings, in groups of 50 or fewer, and run the action again.

The barcode line is red

The value does not fit the encoding. Read the message under Barcode Encoding, then switch Barcode Value or Barcode Encoding. Code 128 accepts any value. The red line is a warning and does not block Print Label.

Nothing opened after I clicked Print Label

If an error message appears after you click Print Label in 3Dsellers, click Print Label again. If the same message keeps appearing, send the message text to 3Dsellers support.

My preset came back different

A 3Dsellers preset does not remember Hide Barcode Value, and it places the fields on the lines again. Check the Label Preview and adjust those settings after choosing the preset.

FAQ

How many listings can I print SKU labels for at once in 3Dsellers?

Up to 50 listings at a time. Select all or more than 50 listings closes the Print SKU Label dialog with an error.

Do I get one file or many when I print SKU labels in bulk?

3Dsellers opens the finished label file in a new browser tab. For several listings the file can be a ZIP that holds one PDF for each listing, so open it and print each PDF.

Does Print SKU Label change my listings?

No - Print SKU Label in 3Dsellers only creates the label file. It does not edit or revise your listings.

Which barcode value and encoding should I use?

SKU with Code 128 is the default in 3Dsellers and accepts any text. Choose EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC or ITF only when your values have the right number of digits, and QR Code if you want a scannable square.

My label size is not listed. What can I do?

Choose Custom size in Printer Settings, enter the width and height, and pick inches or mm.

Do presets remember every setting in the Print SKU Label dialog?

No - a 3Dsellers preset remembers the printer, size, barcode value, encoding, copies, Display barcode symbol and the list of fields. It does not remember Hide Barcode Value, and it places the fields on Line 1 and Line 2 again.

Is there a SKU label option for orders too?

Yes - the Orders Manager has its own Print SKU Label action with the same dialog. See How to Print SKU Labels for Orders.
