Catalog Channel Settings (How Automatic Updates Work)

Understand how catalog channel settings control automatic price and inventory updates across channels, including linked vs. unlinked behavior and Amazon-specific advanced settings.

Catalog channel settings control how your product data in 3Dsellers is automatically synced with your marketplace listings.

These settings work alongside bulk actions and follow the same logic explained here:
👉 Revising Listings in Bulk in the Catalog

Where to Find Catalog Channel Settings

In the Catalog left sidebar, go to:

Products → Integrations → Click the ⚙️ (gear icon) next to a channel

Each marketplace (eBay, Walmart, Shopify, etc.) has its own settings panel.

What These Settings Control

Catalog settings define how changes in your product data affect your live listings.

Price Sync

  • Automatically update listing prices when catalog prices change

  • Can include unlinked listings (optional)

Inventory Sync (from Product Changes)

  • Automatically update listing quantity when catalog stock changes

  • Triggered by:

    • Manual edits

    • Bulk actions

    • CSV uploads

  • Can include unlinked listings (optional)

Inventory Sync (from Orders)

  • When an order is received:

    • Reduce stock in 3Dsellers

    • Optionally sync that change back to listings

Linked vs. Unlinked Behavior

These settings follow the same rule as bulk updates:

  • Linked listings → updated automatically

  • Unlinked listings → not updated unless explicitly enabled

Important to Understand

Catalog settings control automatic updates, while bulk actions are manual updates.

Both work together:

  • Bulk actions → push updates when you choose

  • Catalog settings → keep listings synced automatically over time

Amazon Advanced Settings

All marketplaces share the same core settings (price, inventory, orders).

However, Amazon includes additional advanced options, such as:

  • FBA / MCF automation

  • Fulfillment configuration

  • Channel-specific fulfillment behavior

These settings allow deeper control over how Amazon handles inventory and order fulfillment across channels.

Final Takeaway

  • Catalog settings define how your data syncs automatically

  • They apply per marketplace

  • They follow the same link vs. unlink logic

  • Amazon includes additional advanced configuration options
