How to Sell on Walmart Marketplace from eBay with 3Dsellers

Apply to Walmart Marketplace, connect it to 3Dsellers, and publish your existing eBay catalog to Walmart with synced inventory and orders.

Written by Amit Fidelman

If you already sell on eBay with 3Dsellers, expanding to Walmart Marketplace takes three steps: get approved by Walmart, connect your Walmart account to 3Dsellers, and publish the products you already have in your Product Catalog. This guide walks through all three and what to expect along the way.

💡 New-seller savings. Walmart is currently offering up to $75K in new-seller savings (discounted referral fees, fulfillment and storage) for stores that join before January 31, 2027. Details are on the Walmart Marketplace site when you apply.

Why sell on Walmart Marketplace

  • Less competition. Walmart has far fewer third-party sellers than eBay or Amazon, so established categories still have room for new sellers.

  • No monthly fee. Walmart charges no setup, subscription or listing fees. You pay a referral fee per sale, typically 6% to 15% depending on the category. Your exact rate shows in Seller Center once you are approved.

  • Your catalog is ready. With 3Dsellers your eBay products, images and inventory already live in the Product Catalog, so publishing to Walmart is a matter of mapping categories once and clicking publish.

Step 1: Apply to Walmart Marketplace

Applying is free and takes about 15 minutes. Use the link below to open the Walmart Marketplace sign-up page.

Walmart reviews every application and asks for:

  • A registered business. US businesses need a business tax ID (EIN). Businesses registered in Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, India, Japan, China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, Mexico, Vietnam, Singapore or Chile can also apply.

  • A US address for returns (not a PO box) and a US phone number for customer support.

  • UPC/GTIN codes for the products you plan to list. If your products have no barcodes, you can request a GTIN exemption from Walmart after approval.

  • A history of selling on a marketplace. Your eBay store counts. Good feedback and steady sales help.

Approval usually takes two to three weeks. Walmart emails you when your account is ready.

Step 2: Connect Walmart to 3Dsellers

Once Walmart approves you, you add 3Dsellers as a solution provider in your Walmart Developer Portal and paste the keys Walmart generates into 3Dsellers.

1. Go to developer.walmart.com, open My Account and click Add New Key For A Solution Provider.

2. Select 3Dsellers from the list, click Next, enable the permissions (Orders and Admin at minimum) and click Submit.

3. Copy the Client ID and Client Secret Walmart generates.

4. In 3Dsellers, open Settings → Integrations → Walmart Accounts and click Add Walmart Account.

5. Enter your store name, paste the Client ID and Client Secret, and click Add Account.

Step 3: Publish your eBay products to Walmart

1. Open Product Catalog in 3Dsellers. If your eBay listings are not in the catalog yet, import them first.

2. Tick the products you want on Walmart and click Publish To Channel in the top bar. Start with best sellers that already have UPC codes.

3. In the Publish Products to Channel dialog, click Select Channel and pick your Walmart account.

4. Choose a Mapping Template for Walmart. The first time, 3Dsellers asks whether you have a GTIN exemption and saves your answer in the template.

5. Click Publish as Live.

Each product row then shows a Walmart icon with a status dot: grey while pending, green when live, red if Walmart returned an error. Click the icon to see the status or the error with a How to fix? link.

From then on, 3Dsellers keeps inventory in sync between eBay and Walmart, so a sale on one channel updates the other, and Walmart orders appear in the same Orders view as your eBay orders.

Optional: automate it

Want every new eBay listing to go to Walmart on its own? Two automations do it: one imports new eBay listings into the catalog, the other publishes new catalog products to Walmart, optionally with AI-written titles and descriptions.

Tips for a strong launch

  • Price competitively. Walmart's algorithm favors listings that match or beat prices elsewhere, including your own eBay price.

  • Set realistic handling times. Fast, reliable shipping drives the Buy Box on Walmart, and late shipments hurt your seller score quickly.

  • Keep inventory honest. Let 3Dsellers manage quantities across channels so you never oversell during the holidays.

  • Consider Walmart Fulfillment Services (WFS) for your fastest movers. With the Walmart Multi-Channel Solution, WFS can even fulfill your eBay orders.

FAQ

Can I sell on Walmart if I am not a US business?

Yes, if your business is registered in one of the countries Walmart accepts (listed in Step 1) and you can provide a US return address and a US support phone number.

Do I need a separate 3Dsellers plan for Walmart?

Walmart is one of the selling channels you can add to your 3Dsellers account. Check Settings → Billing to see the channels included in your plan.

What if Walmart rejects my application?

Walmart lets you reapply. The most common reasons are missing business documents, no UPC codes, or a short selling history. Fix the gap and apply again.

My products failed to publish to Walmart. What now?

Walmart is strict about GTIN/UPC codes and category attributes. Open the red status dot on the product to read the error, fix the product, and click Republish. See Fixing Channel Publishing Errors in the Products Catalog.
