Add or remove product tags with an AI agent (MCP)

Use a connected AI agent to tag and untag your 3Dsellers products just by asking - by SKU, segment, or a list of products.

What you can do

Once you have connected an AI agent to 3Dsellers, you can add or remove product tags just by asking in plain language. The AI finds the right products, applies the changes, and tells you which tags each product ends up carrying.

What to say

Describe the products and the tags. For example:

  • Add the tag "clearance" to products with SKU ABC-1, ABC-2, and ABC-3

  • Tag every product in my "Summer Sale" segment as "seasonal"

  • Remove the "clearance" tag from SKU ABC-1

  • Add "review-pricing" and remove "new" on these products

You can add and remove tags in the same request. If a tag name does not exist yet, it is created automatically.

Go further: more powerful requests

Because the AI can find products by their details before tagging them, you can tag in bulk based on almost any condition. For example:

  • Tag every product under $10 as "budget"

  • Tag all products with zero quantity as "out-of-stock"

  • Tag everything in my "Winter" segment as "seasonal" and remove "summer" from them

  • Find products that have not sold in the last 30 days and tag them "slow-mover"

  • Tag every product that is not yet listed on eBay as "needs-listing"

  • Tag any product missing a UPC as "check-identifiers"

Some of these combine several steps (like checking your listings or recent orders), which the AI handles for you. For date ranges like "the last 30 days," it uses one of your saved segments, and for a whole catalog it can run the tagging as a background bulk action.

Good to know

  • Product tags are their own thing. They are separate from order tags and listing tags, so tagging a product does not tag its orders or listings.

  • Removing a tag only unlinks it. The tag itself stays available to use again; it is not deleted from your account.

  • The AI can find the products for you. Point it at SKUs, a segment, or products already carrying a certain tag, and it will resolve those to the right items before tagging.

  • Large batches run in the background. For a handful and up to a couple hundred products the change is immediate. For a whole catalog or a large segment, the AI queues a bulk action and can tell you when it finishes.

Tip

Ask the AI to show you the products first ("list products in my Summer Sale segment") so you can confirm the set before you tag it.
