What the 3Dsellers eBay Research extension does
3Dsellers eBay Research reads the eBay listing you are looking at and its public purchase history, then shows:
Sold history - units sold in the last 24 hours, 3 days, 7 days and 30 days, revenue for the selected range, average units per day, and a trend arrow.
Sales velocity - a bar chart of units sold per day with a 7-day moving average, and a consistency heatmap with one square per day.
Price distribution - how the sold prices spread between the lowest and highest sale, plus quantity per order and sales by variation.
Seller insights - the seller's positive feedback, feedback count and lifetime items sold, and an analysis of their recent sold listings: how many, the average sold price, units sold in the last 30 days and an estimated 30-day revenue.
Watchlists - save products and track sellers in your browser, and export any list to CSV.
3Dsellers eBay Research does not change anything on eBay, does not create listings, and does not send your research data to 3Dsellers. It is a research tool: it reads eBay pages that are already available to your browser and computes the numbers locally.
How do I install the extension?
3Dsellers eBay Research is published on the Chrome Web Store and installs in Google Chrome (and in Chromium-based browsers that support the Chrome Web Store).
Click Add to Chrome, then Add extension in Chrome's confirmation dialog.
Optional: click the puzzle-piece icon in Chrome's toolbar and pin 3Dsellers Research, so its magnifier icon stays visible.
Open any eBay item page. The research strip appears under the listing title and a round blue button appears at the bottom right.
The extension asks for two permissions: storage (to keep your settings and saved lists in the browser) and cookies for app.3dsellers.com (to show whether you are logged in to 3Dsellers on the Profile tab). It runs only on eBay item pages, eBay purchase-history pages and eBay sold-listings search pages.
Where does it appear on an eBay listing?
On an eBay item page, 3Dsellers eBay Research gives you four ways in. All of them lead to the same research panel.

The research panel itself slides in from the right and has four tabs: Overview, Sold History, Seller and Saved. The footer reminds you that everything is Computed locally in your browser.
Press Alt+3 on any supported eBay page and the same panel slides in without touching the mouse:
⭐ If you would rather see the report on the page itself, switch Page view to Full view in Settings. The stats, the sales velocity chart and the consistency heatmap then appear in a block above the listing - see Settings below.
Do I need to sign in to eBay or to 3Dsellers?
eBay: yes. eBay only shows purchase history and sold listings to signed-in users. If you are signed out of eBay, the strip and the Sold History tab show Sign in to eBay to see the sold history with a Sign in to eBay link. Sign in to eBay in the same tab, then press Try again in the panel. This is an eBay requirement, not a 3Dsellers one.
3Dsellers: no. 3Dsellers eBay Research works without a 3Dsellers account and there is nothing to log in to inside the extension. The Profile tab of the toolbar popup only shows whether you are logged in to 3Dsellers in this browser, so that the 3Dsellers extensions stay in sync. Nothing from the research extension is sent to your 3Dsellers account.
Overview tab: the numbers at a glance
The Overview tab opens first. At the top it shows the listing's photo, title and price, then four cards:

Sold last 30 days | Units bought in the last 30 days, added up from eBay's purchase history for this listing (quantities per order are counted, not just orders). |
Revenue last 30 days | Price × quantity for every purchase in the last 30 days that shows a price. Purchases made with an accepted offer hide their price on eBay and are not counted here. |
Avg units / day | Units sold in the selected range divided by the number of days in the range (30 by default). Below 0.1 it shows <0.1. |
Trend vs prev. 15 days | The second half of the range compared with the first half - with the default 30-day range, the last 15 days against the 15 days before. ▲ means more than 10% higher, ▼ more than 10% lower, ■ within ±10% (steady). |
Below the cards, Item details lists what eBay shows on the page: total sold (lifetime), watchers, condition, category, item location, delivery estimate, last updated and the item ID. Three buttons follow: View full sold history report, Analyze seller and Save product (☆ Save product turns into ★ Saved - click to remove).
Sold History tab: the full report
The Sold History tab is the full report built from eBay's purchase history for this listing. Open it from the strip, the Overview button, the Sold history chip, or with Alt+Z.
Which range can I pick?
The Range bar at the top offers 7 days, 30 days (default), 60 days, 90 days and Custom. Custom takes a from and a to date (up to 365 days). Changing the range recomputes the report from the purchases already loaded, so it is instant and does not ask eBay again. Your choice is remembered for the next listing.
What do the six cards show?
Sold last 24 hours, Sold last 3 days and Sold last 7 days always count from today, whatever range you picked. Sold [range] and Revenue [range] follow the selected range, and Avg units / day is the range total divided by its days.
Sales velocity and sales consistency
Sales velocity is a bar per day (units sold) with a thin line for the 7-day moving average. The trend badge in its title compares the second half of the range with the first half. The note underneath states the average units per day and on how many of the range's days something sold. Hover a day to see its date and units.
Sales consistency is a heatmap with one square per day, ten per row, oldest at the top left. Darker squares mean more units sold that day; a light grey square is a day with no sales.
⚠️ eBay lists the last 100 purchases only. When a listing has more than 100 purchases in the range, the report says so and tells you the earliest date it knows about. Days before that date are unknown, not zero - on a fast-selling listing the report may cover days rather than weeks. The purchases card also notes eBay shows the last 100 only.
Sold price distribution, quantity per order and variations
Sold price distribution splits the sold prices into 3 to 7 equal price bands between the lowest and highest sale and shows how many units fell in each band, with the average, minimum and maximum underneath. Only purchases that show a price are included; the note says how many sales hide their accepted-offer price.
Quantity per order shows how many orders were for 1 unit, 2 units, or 3 or more units. Sales by variation appears when the listing has variations (colour, size, model) and lists the top 10 variations by units sold with the average sold price of each.
The purchases table and Export CSV
The Purchases card lists every purchase eBay returned - date, variation, quantity and price (or offer when the price is hidden) - with the total orders and units in its title. Export CSV downloads the same rows as sold-history-[item id].csv with the columns item_id, title, date, variation, quantity, price, currency.
Seller tab: seller insights
The Seller tab starts with the seller's card: Username, Positive feedback (%), Feedback received and Lifetime items sold, read from the listing page. Opening the tab fetches the seller's sold-listings search on eBay (up to 240 results) and summarises it locally into four cards:

Sold in last 30 days | How many of them sold in the last 30 days, using the sold date eBay shows on each result. When eBay shows no dates, this card becomes Lowest sold price. |
Est. 30-day revenue | Sum of the prices of the listings sold in the last 30 days. When eBay shows no dates, this card becomes Highest sold price. |
Below the cards, Recently sold items lists up to 25 of those listings with photo, title and price (each opens on eBay), and Open all sold listings on eBay opens the full search. ☆ Track this seller at the top adds the seller to your tracked list (★ Tracked - click to remove).
Scroll down for the Recently sold items list - each row opens that listing on eBay:
⭐ Seller numbers describe the seller's recent sold listings (one line per sold listing on eBay's search), not units. A listing that sold 50 units counts once here, while the Sold History tab counts all 50.
Saved tab: saved products and tracked sellers
The Saved tab holds two lists. Saved products keeps the listing's title, price, photo, seller, lifetime sold and units sold in the last 30 days at the moment you saved it. Tracked sellers keeps the seller's name, feedback and average sold price, with an Analyze button that runs the seller analysis again and ✕ to remove.
Both lists are stored only in your browser (Chrome's extension storage) and hold up to 500 entries each. They are not synced to a 3Dsellers account and nothing leaves the browser. Each list has its own Export CSV: 3dsellers-saved-products.csv (item_id, title, price, currency, sold_30d, total_sold, seller, url, saved_at) and 3dsellers-tracked-sellers.csv (seller, feedback_percent, feedback_count, items_sold, avg_sold_price, currency, url, saved_at).
Settings: page view, floating button, shortcuts
Open Settings from the toolbar popup (the 3Dsellers magnifier icon in Chrome's toolbar, then Settings at the bottom of its menu).

The Settings page also lists the shortcuts - Alt+3 opens or closes the research panel, Alt+Z opens the sold history report - and the installed version.
Profile shows your 3Dsellers login if you have one in this browser, with Log in / Create account when you do not. Log out there logs out of the extension only, not of 3Dsellers. Report a problem and Suggest a feature (bottom of the popup and of the full view) send your message to the 3Dsellers team together with the extension version and the eBay page you are on - nothing else from the page.
Which eBay sites and pages does it work on?
3Dsellers eBay Research runs on 19 eBay sites: eBay.com, eBay.co.uk, eBay.de, eBay.fr, eBay.it, eBay.es, eBay.ca, eBay.com.au, eBay.at, eBay.ch, eBay.be, eBay.nl, eBay.ie, eBay.pl, eBay.com.sg, eBay.com.hk, eBay.com.my, eBay.ph and eBay.in. Purchase-history dates are read in English and German date formats.
It works on three kinds of eBay page:
Item pages (
/itm/...) - the full experience: strip, round button, panel with all four tabs.Purchase-history pages (
/bin/purchaseHistory?item=...) - the panel opens by itself on the Sold History report for that item.Seller sold-listings searches (
/sch/i.html?_ssn=SELLER&LH_Sold=1) - the panel opens on the Seller tab for that seller.
On any other eBay page (a normal search, your cart, My eBay) the extension does nothing, and Alt+3 has no effect.
What leaves your browser, and what does not
Research data stays local. Purchase history and sold-listings pages are fetched from eBay by your own browser, with your own eBay session, and all numbers are computed in the browser. Titles, seller names and prices are never sent to 3Dsellers.
Saved lists stay local. Saved products and tracked sellers live in Chrome's extension storage on this computer.
Anonymous usage events (for example that a panel was opened or a report viewed) are sent to 3Dsellers with the eBay site and page type only - never seller names or listing titles. If you are logged in to 3Dsellers in this browser, these events are attributed to your account; otherwise they are anonymous.
Error reports are sent to 3Dsellers when something in the extension fails, so it can be fixed. They include the page and item ID involved.
Feedback you send from Report a problem / Suggest a feature includes your text, the extension version, the eBay page URL and, optionally, your email.
Limits
It will not show sold history for a single-quantity listing: eBay only publishes purchase history for multi-quantity listings that have sales. The panel then shows the listing's lifetime sold count from the page instead.
It will not see further back than eBay's last 100 purchases per listing.
The seller analysis reads one page of sold results (240 listings at most) and lists 25 of them.
Ranges are capped at 365 days, and a 1-day range has no trend.
Revenue figures skip purchases whose price eBay hides (accepted offers).
It does not work on eBay pages other than item, purchase-history and seller sold-search pages, and it does not run in browsers without the Chrome Web Store.
Troubleshooting
"Sign in to eBay to see the sold history"
You are signed out of eBay in this browser. eBay only shows purchase history and sold listings to signed-in users. Click Sign in to eBay (or eBay's own Sign in link), sign in, then press Try again in the panel. The strip and the round button reappear with data after the next load.
"No public sold history for this listing"
This listing has a quantity of one, or a multi-quantity listing with no sales yet. eBay does not publish a purchase-history page for it, so there is nothing for 3Dsellers eBay Research to chart. The Overview still shows the item details and the seller tab still works.
"Could not load the purchase history ... eBay may be rate limiting"
eBay answered with an error instead of the purchase-history page. Wait a moment and press Try again. If you research many listings in quick succession, eBay may slow its answers down; the extension fetches the history once per listing and reuses it when you change the range.
Nothing appears on the eBay page
Check Page view in Settings: with No view on the page nothing is written on the listing - use the round button, Alt+3 or the toolbar icon.
Check Show the floating button in Settings if the round button is missing.
Make sure you are on an item page (
/itm/) of one of the 19 supported eBay sites, not on a search or category page.After installing or updating, reload the eBay tab once.
The 30-day number is lower than eBay's "sold" count
eBay's 209 sold on the listing is the lifetime total. The extension's Sold last 30 days counts only the last 30 days, and only from the last 100 purchases eBay lists. On a fast seller those 100 purchases may not even reach back 30 days - the report tells you the earliest date it knows about.
"A new version is available" banner in the popup
Chrome downloaded a newer version of the extension but has not switched to it yet. Click Update now: the extension reloads and the eBay tab refreshes by itself.

Is the 3Dsellers eBay Research extension free?
Yes - 3Dsellers eBay Research is free, all features are included, and it does not require a 3Dsellers account or subscription.
Does the extension work without a 3Dsellers account?
Yes - research works without an account. The Profile tab only shows a 3Dsellers login if one already exists in the browser, and nothing from the extension is sent to that account.
Which browsers does it support?
It is a Chrome extension from the Chrome Web Store, so Google Chrome and Chromium-based browsers that can install from the Chrome Web Store. It runs on 19 eBay sites, from eBay.com and eBay.co.uk to eBay.com.au and eBay.in.
Where does the sold-history data come from?
From eBay's own purchase-history page for the listing (the page behind the sold link), fetched by your browser with your eBay session. eBay publishes the last 100 purchases for multi-quantity listings, and the extension computes every number from them locally.
Why is the report empty for some listings?
Because eBay only publishes purchase history for multi-quantity listings that have sales. A single-quantity listing, or one with no sales yet, has no purchase-history page, so the report shows the lifetime sold count from the page and nothing more.
How is the trend calculated?
The trend compares the second half of the selected range with the first half - with the default 30 days, the last 15 days against the 15 before. ▲ means more than 10% higher, ▼ more than 10% lower, ■ within ±10%.
Does the extension send my research to 3Dsellers?
No - purchase history, seller data, saved products and tracked sellers stay in your browser. The extension only sends anonymous usage events (eBay site and page type), error reports, and any feedback you choose to send.
Can I export the data?
Yes - the Sold History tab exports every purchase to CSV, and the Saved tab exports the saved products list and the tracked sellers list to CSV.
